How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.
Key takeaways
- If your accountant already has a preference, it is probably A2X ($29/month for one Amazon channel): it posts settlement summaries that match bank deposits to the cent, which is what bookkeepers trust.
- On a tight budget, start with Seller Ledger ($10/month) or Taxomate ($14/month). Both connect directly to Amazon and handle the settlement breakdown without a separate connector subscription.
- Selling on Amazon plus Shopify or Walmart changes the math: A2X charges per channel, while Link My Books and Taxomate Multi cover every channel under one plan.
- Doing over $250K a year and tired of doing books yourself? Finaloop (from $245/month) replaces your ledger, your connector and your bookkeeper in one managed service.
- Every connector on this list assumes you have a ledger: most sellers pair them with QuickBooks Online ($38/month) or Xero.

The best accounting software for Amazon sellers
Amazon pays you every two weeks in one lump sum. That deposit bundles product sales, refunds, FBA fees, storage fees, ad spend, shipping credits and sales tax into a single number, and your accounting software sees just the deposit. Without a tool built for this, your books show revenue that never existed and hide fees you could have deducted. The seven tools below cover the real options: settlement connectors that feed QuickBooks or Xero, full bookkeeping platforms, profit analytics, and one managed service that replaces the whole stack.
Starting price$29/month (Mini plan, one Amazon channel, up to 200 orders)
Free planFree trial (no free plan)
A2X is the default recommendation in accounting firms for a simple reason: it is the one your bookkeeper already knows. Instead of dumping thousands of individual orders into your ledger, it reads each Amazon settlement and posts a tidy summary, with gross sales, fees, refunds and taxes broken out, that matches the payout sitting in your bank feed. Reconciliation becomes a single click instead of an afternoon of spreadsheet work.
The honest catch is how the price scales. The $29 Mini plan covers one channel and 200 orders a month, which fits a new seller. Add Shopify and the second channel needs its own plan or a multi-channel bundle (from $89/month at 1,000 combined orders), and higher order volumes step up the tiers. If you sell on one Amazon marketplace and work with an accountant, this is the safe pick. If you sell everywhere, price the multi-channel total before committing.
What we like- Posts summarized settlement journals that reconcile to bank deposits in one click
- Connects Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Etsy and Walmart to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or NetSuite
- Handles multi-currency and VAT or sales tax mapping
Watch out for- Pricing is per channel, so multi-channel sellers pay for each one
- Setup assumes accounting knowledge and most sellers need their bookkeeper to configure it
#2
Link My Books
Best for: Sellers on several channels who want one plan covering all of them
Visit linkmybooks.com
Starting priceSee website (pricing is based on monthly order volume across all channels)
Free planFree trial (14 days, no credit card required)
Link My Books takes the opposite approach to A2X on pricing: you pay for order volume, not channels. Connect Amazon, Shopify and TikTok Shop under one plan and the price moves only when your total monthly orders move. For multi-channel sellers this is usually cheaper than per-channel pricing, and it removes the penalty for testing a new marketplace.
The product itself is close to A2X in function: automatic settlement imports broken into sales, refunds, fees and taxes, posted as summaries to Xero or QuickBooks. Where it stands apart is tax depth for non-US sellers and the support bench. The tradeoff is price transparency. There is no flat public table, so budget using the calculator on their pricing page and confirm the tier your rolling average order count puts you in.
What we like- One plan covers Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Etsy, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Square and WooCommerce, so new channels cost nothing extra
- Built-in VAT, GST and sales tax handling that suits UK and EU sellers
- Support team staffed by ex-sellers and accountants rather than general support agents
Watch out for- Pricing runs through a live calculator instead of a published table, so you cannot quote it without checking
- Settlement history on the trial is limited to 90 days
Starting price$10/month (up to 250 transactions per month)
Free planFree trial (30 days, no credit card required)
Seller Ledger was built by a founder of GoDaddy Bookkeeping (originally Outright.com), and it shows: this is bookkeeping designed for marketplace sellers rather than adapted from generic accounting. You connect your sales channels and your bank, and it imports transactions daily, categorizes them, tracks inventory and cost of goods sold, and produces a Schedule C report your tax preparer can use directly.
At $10 a month it is the cheapest full bookkeeping option on this list, and every customer gets every feature with price set only by transaction volume. The limitation is geography: US businesses only, for now. If you are a solo US seller doing a few hundred orders a month, this replaces both a connector subscription and much of what you would pay a bookkeeper for.
What we like- A complete bookkeeping platform, not just a connector: inventory, cost of goods sold, expense tracking and a pre-filled Schedule C tax report
- Connects directly to Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify and Walmart with no third-party connector needed
- Multi-currency accounting included at no extra cost
Watch out for- Available to US-based businesses only
- The transaction-volume pricing steps up to $20, $50 and $100 per month as volume grows
#4
SellerBoard
Best for: Sellers who want to see true profit per product in real time
Visit sellerboard.com
Starting price$15/month
Free planFirst month free (no permanent free plan)
SellerBoard answers a different question from the connectors above: not "are my books right" but "am I actually making money." Its dashboard shows sales, Amazon fees, ad spend, refunds and your own fixed costs per product and per period, with contribution margin math that tells you which SKUs deserve more inventory capital and which are volume traps. The Money Back feature scans for FBA reimbursement opportunities on lost or damaged inventory.
It is also one of the cheapest tools here, and the first month is free. The honest limitation is scope: this is profit analytics for Amazon sellers, not accounting software. Pair it with a connector like A2X or Taxomate plus QuickBooks if you need both true profit visibility and clean books. Used together with Seller Ledger, it is redundant on the P and L side but still useful for PPC and reimbursement tracking.
What we like- Real-time profit dashboard that breaks down 100-plus Amazon fees per SKU
- FIFO inventory accounting with purchase order planning and stock alerts
- PPC optimizer, listing-change alerts and a review-request autoresponder included
Watch out for- Built around Amazon, so Shopify or Walmart sellers get less value
- It is analytics, not a ledger, so you still need QuickBooks or Xero for your books
#5
Taxomate
Best for: Budget Amazon sellers who want to be set up in minutes
Visit taxomate.com
Starting price$14/month (Starter plan, one sales channel)
Free planFree trial (no credit card required)
Taxomate does one job, connecting Amazon to QuickBooks, Xero or Wave, and does it with the least friction on this list. Each settlement becomes a summarized journal entry with sales, fees, refunds and taxes categorized, and auto-posting keeps new settlements flowing without manual work. The vendor claims setup in about five minutes, and reviewers consistently describe it as the simplest of the connectors.
The pricing undercuts A2X at the low end: $14 a month for one channel versus $29. The gap narrows as you grow, since both scale with order volume, and Taxomate's Multi plan (unlimited channels from $27/month) is the one to compare against A2X's multi-channel bundles. If you sell only on Amazon and want the cheapest path to clean books, start here.
What we like- The lowest entry price of the settlement connectors
- Setup takes about five minutes with no accounting background needed
- Free historical settlement imports and free one-on-one onboarding on every plan
Watch out for- Amazon-centric, so sellers on many marketplaces need the Multi plan ($27/month and up)
- COGS and inventory sync sit on higher tiers
#6
Finaloop
Best for: Seven-figure DTC and Amazon brands that want accounting fully handled
Visit finaloop.com
Starting price$245/month (Starter plan)
Free planFree trial (14 days)
Finaloop is not a connector and not quite software: it is an accounting department for ecommerce brands. Its platform pulls data from your sales channels, banks, payment processors and ad platforms, reconciles orders to payouts to bank deposits automatically, and a human accounting team reviews everything. The books update in real time instead of two weeks after the fact, which is the standard complaint about QuickBooks-based setups.
This only makes financial sense at scale. At $245 a month to start, with pricing that rises with annual revenue, it costs more than QuickBooks plus A2X. The buyers who choose it are brands doing $500K to $10M that would otherwise pay a bookkeeper or agency anyway. Below that revenue, the DIY stack on this list does the job for a tenth of the price.
What we like- Replaces your accounting software, connector and bookkeeper with one managed service
- Real-time P and L, cash flow and balance sheet with no month-end lag
- Dedicated accountants review the books and handle tax filing add-ons
Watch out for- Priced for brands doing serious revenue, overkill under roughly $250K a year
- You give up direct control over bookkeeping logic and chart-of-accounts customization
Starting price$38/month (Simple Start plan)
Free planFree trial (30 days, no permanent free plan)
QuickBooks Online is on this list because every other tool assumes it. A2X, Link My Books and Taxomate all post into QuickBooks; Seller Ledger positions itself as the alternative for sellers who do not want it. If your accountant works in QuickBooks, and most US accountants do, running your Amazon books anywhere else creates friction at tax time.
The catch is that QuickBooks alone does not solve the Amazon problem. Its native Amazon connectors sync sales without proper fee breakdowns or settlement matching, which is exactly why the connector category exists. Budget for both: $38 a month for Simple Start plus $14 to $29 for a connector. Note the 2026 price increases on Essentials ($85), Plus ($140) and Advanced ($340); Simple Start held at $38, which is all most sellers need.
What we like- The accounting platform nearly every connector and every accountant supports
- Invoicing, bank feeds, expense tracking and tax reports in one place
- Scales from solo sellers to multi-entity businesses
Watch out for- Has no real Amazon settlement handling on its own, so you still need a connector from this list
- Intuit raised prices on upper tiers in 2026, so check the plan you actually need
How we chose
We started with the tools Amazon sellers actually discuss: settlement connectors, seller bookkeeping platforms, profit analytics and managed accounting services. For each candidate we opened the vendor's own site, checked pricing pages against public reviews on G2, Capterra and seller communities, and compared feature lists, channel coverage and fit for different seller sizes. Where a price could not be verified on the vendor's page we wrote "See website" rather than guessing, and we excluded tools that had been shut down or folded into another product.
What to check before you pick
Start with your channel count, because it decides the pricing model. One Amazon marketplace and a few hundred orders a month: Taxomate at $14 or A2X Mini at $29, paired with QuickBooks Simple Start. Amazon plus two or three other channels: compare Link My Books' volume pricing and Taxomate Multi against A2X's multi-channel bundles, since per-channel pricing punishes exactly this setup.
Next, decide whether you need a connector or a complete ledger. Connectors assume QuickBooks or Xero already exists in your business. If you are starting from zero and sell only in the US, Seller Ledger at $10 a month is a complete bookkeeping system and the cheapest total cost. If you are outside the US, you need the connector plus ledger route.
Check settlement history depth before you sign up. Catching up a year of messy books matters, and history limits vary: Taxomate imports history free, A2X gives 3 to 24 months depending on plan, Link My Books gives 90 days on trial and up to 24 months on paid plans, and Seller Ledger includes 90 days on monthly plans with full-year imports on annual plans. If your books are a year behind, this feature alone can decide the purchase.
Finally, separate profit analytics from accounting. SellerBoard tells you which products make money today. It does not produce books your accountant can file from. Many sellers run both: SellerBoard for daily decisions, a connector plus QuickBooks for the ledger. Budget for both if you want both jobs done.
The real cost math: connector plus ledger
New sellers routinely under-budget because they price the connector and forget the ledger. A realistic minimum stack is $52 a month: QuickBooks Simple Start ($38) plus Taxomate Starter ($14). The equivalent with A2X is $67. Seller Ledger is the exception at $10 all-in for US sellers, because it is the ledger.
At higher volumes the connector becomes the bigger line item. A seller doing 5,000 orders a month across five channels faces very different totals: Taxomate Multi around $59, A2X Multi around $169, Link My Books around $75 on its calculator. This is where per-channel pricing hurts and where volume-based pricing earns its keep. Run your own order count through each vendor's pricing before assuming the cheapest entry price stays cheapest.
And if you are comparing Finaloop's $245 starting price against the DIY stack, compare it against the full cost: ledger plus connector plus what you pay a bookkeeper or agency now. For a brand already spending $400-plus a month on bookkeeping help, Finaloop can be cheaper than the stack it replaces. For everyone else, it is not.
Frequently asked questions
Do I still need QuickBooks if I use A2X or Taxomate?
Yes. A2X, Taxomate and Link My Books are connectors: they translate Amazon settlements into clean entries inside QuickBooks, Xero or a similar ledger. They do not replace the ledger itself. The only tools on this list that stand alone are Seller Ledger, which is a complete bookkeeping platform, and Finaloop, which is a managed accounting service.
Which is cheapest for a new Amazon seller?
Seller Ledger at $10 a month, if you are a US-based seller: it is full bookkeeping, not just a connector. If you already use QuickBooks, Taxomate at $14 a month is the cheapest connector. Both offer free trials, so the cheapest way to start is a trial of each before paying for anything.
Can any of these tools do my taxes?
They prepare your books for taxes; they do not file them. Seller Ledger produces a pre-filled Schedule C report, and Finaloop offers tax filing as an add-on service. For the rest, your accountant takes the clean books these tools produce and files from there. None of them replaces a tax professional.
A2X vs Link My Books: which should I choose?
Choose A2X if your accountant already uses it: the partner network and familiarity are worth more than small price differences. Choose Link My Books if you sell on multiple channels and want one plan priced on total order volume, or if you need strong VAT handling as a UK or EU seller. Both post settlement summaries to QuickBooks and Xero; the difference is pricing model and tax depth.
Do these tools work with Amazon marketplaces outside the US?
A2X, Link My Books and Taxomate all support multiple Amazon marketplaces and multi-currency. Seller Ledger is US-businesses only. SellerBoard works with Amazon marketplaces broadly. If you sell across regions, confirm your specific marketplaces are covered during the free trial before subscribing.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Settlement summaries already posted to QuickBooks or Xero stay in your ledger: they are yours. What you lose is the connector's history and automation. Before cancelling, export any reports you need from the connector itself, and confirm how far back your plan lets you re-import if you ever return.
