Webex Alternatives in 2026: 8 Tools Compared

How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Ratings come from G2, Capterra or Trustpilot, with the date we checked them.

Webex Alternatives in 2026: 8 Tools Compared

Key takeaways

  • Most Webex leavers already own the replacement: Teams inside Microsoft 365 or Meet inside Google Workspace costs nothing extra at the margin.
  • Zoom Workplace Pro at about 14.16 dollars per user per month billed annually is the standalone standard for cross company calls.
  • GoTo Meeting at 12 dollars per organizer and Zoho Meeting from around 1 to 3 dollars per host are the value picks when few people host.
  • Whereby and Jitsi Meet cover the lightweight ends: embedded video in your own product, and free open source meetings with no account.
  • Webex Meet itself starts at 12 dollars per user per month; the switch case is usually suite fit and simplicity, not headline price.

The best Webex alternatives

#1

Zoom

Best for: Cross company meetings and webinars
Visit zoom.us
Starting price$14.16 per user per month billed annually
Free planYes
Zoom homepage

Zoom is the lateral move: same job as Webex, lighter feel, wider public familiarity. Its Pro plan at 14.16 dollars per user per month billed annually (100 participants, cloud recording, AI Companion) is the price reference for the category, though other October checks list 13.32, so treat the range as the honest figure.

Its real advantage is network effect. Clients, candidates and partners all know the Zoom link ritual, and its connection quality on bad hotel Wi-Fi remains the benchmark IT teams quietly test rivals against.

Choose Zoom when your meetings are mostly with people outside your company and nobody should need instructions. Choose a suite below when your meetings are mostly internal and already paid for.

What we like
  • The default meeting link the outside world already trusts, which removes guest friction entirely, reliable video under poor connections, the quality Webex users switch for, webinars, rooms and phone extend the same account, AI Companion summaries included on paid plans rather than sold as a separate tier
Watch out for
  • Free tier caps group meetings at 40 minutes, the same limit as Webex's free plan, sources put Pro between 13.32 and 14.16 dollars per user per month depending on check date, so confirm at checkout, webinar capacity is a paid add on priced by tier, not attendance, per user pricing for every host adds up across a whole company
#2

Microsoft Teams

Best for: Microsoft 365 organisations
4.4/5 on G2 (19,330 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit microsoft.com
Starting price$4 per user per month
Free planYes
Microsoft Teams homepage

Teams is the answer with an asterisk the size of Microsoft 365. If your company runs on it, Teams meetings cost nothing marginal, and the calendar, chat and files integration makes Webex feel like a visitor in your own office. If you do not, Essentials at 4 dollars per user per month is still a sharp standalone price.

Its meeting quality has closed the gap that once sent people to Zoom, and Premium tiers add live events for audiences up to 10,000. The genuine complaint is sprawl: Teams wants to be your whole collaboration home, and meeting users inherit channels, apps and notifications they never asked for.

For Microsoft shops the comparison usually ends here, on economics rather than features.

What we like
  • For Microsoft 365 subscribers, meetings arrive inside a subscription already bought, standalone Teams Essentials at 4 dollars per user per month is the cheapest serious entry here, chat, files, channels and meetings in one surface, with meetings up to 300 on standard plans, Copilot meeting summaries available as an add on for organisations that want them
Watch out for
  • The interface carries its suite ambitions
  • Meeting only users learn more app than they wanted, Copilot's meeting intelligence sits behind a paid add on around 30 dollars per user per month per comparisons, free Teams caps group meetings at 60 minutes and 100 people, administering Teams properly is real IT work at scale
#3

Google Meet

Best for: Google Workspace teams
4.6/5 on G2 (4 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit meet.google.com
Starting price$7 per user per month billed annually
Free planYes
Google Meet homepage

Meet is the browser native answer. A Meet link is the lowest friction invitation in business: no downloads, no plugins, a calendar event and a click. For Google Workspace companies, like Teams above, the marginal cost is zero and the comparison with Webex ends on contact with the invoice.

Its free tier is the most generous of the giants for long calls: 60 minutes for groups against the 40 minute caps at Zoom and Webex. Paid depth (recordings, summaries, 500 plus participants) lives at Business Standard and above, at 14 dollars per user per month in current listings.

Choose Meet when your company lives in Gmail and Calendar. The tool's simplicity is real, and so is its ceiling for organisations that need Webex grade event production.

What we like
  • Nothing to install for anyone: meetings run in the browser and start from a Calendar link, inside Google Workspace, Starter at 7 dollars per user per month billed annually bundles email and Drive with meetings, free accounts get 60 minute group meetings for up to 100 people, beating Zoom and Webex free caps, recordings save straight to Drive on paid tiers
Watch out for
  • Paid Meet means a Workspace subscription, so standalone buyers are purchasing a suite, recording, attendance tracking and Gemini summaries sit on Standard (14 dollars) and above, not Starter, noise cancellation and larger capacities tier up quickly, organisations outside Google's world feel the Gmail centric design
#4

GoTo Meeting

Best for: Few hosts, many attendees
4.2/5 on G2 (17,045 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit goto.com
Starting price$12 per organizer per month billed annually
Free planNo

GoTo Meeting survives by arithmetic. Webex and Zoom charge per licensed host too, but GoTo built its whole pitch on the organizer model and a simpler product, and for the classic pattern (a handful of hosts, a crowd of guests) its 12 dollars per organizer is the rational bill.

It also survives by restraint. There is no suite to learn, no channels, no app platform; the meeting starts, the tools behave, the recording exists. Companies burned by suite sprawl find that genuinely restful.

The price of restraint is scope. Webinars, phone systems and team messaging live in other GoTo products at other prices. If meetings are truly all you need, that is a feature list, not a gap.

What we like
  • Priced per organizer rather than per user, so a company where three people host for three hundred pays for three, Professional at 12 dollars per organizer per month billed annually covers 150 participants, a deliberately uncluttered product: meetings, recording, drawing tools, done, long track record with small and mid size businesses
Watch out for
  • No free plan, only a trial, no chat suite or office bundle behind it
  • It is meetings only, webinar and phone needs route to pricier GoTo siblings, brand gravity is lower, so external guests meet it less often, feature development is steadier than exciting
#5

Zoho Meeting

Best for: Budget meetings and webinars
4.5/5 on G2 (1,257 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit zoho.com
Starting price$1 per host per month billed annually
Free planYes

Zoho Meeting is the budget line of this list, priced the way Zoho prices everything: low enough to be a rounding error. From around 1 dollar per host per month billed annually for small meetings, with a free tier that covers an hour and a hundred people, it undercuts Webex by an order of magnitude at the entry point.

The tier ladder is where attention belongs. Participant counts drive Zoho's pricing bands, and sources cite entry figures from 1 to 3 dollars depending on the band. Price your real meeting size before celebrating the headline.

What we like
  • The cheapest paid meetings anywhere: Meeting plans from about 1 dollar per host per month billed annually for small participant counts, free plan offers 60 minute meetings for up to 100 participants, per comparisons, webinars sit in the same product family at low prices, Zoho's wider suite (CRM, mail, projects) integrates for companies already in that ecosystem
Watch out for
  • Sources price entry between 1 and 3 dollars depending on edition and participant count, so confirm your tier's figure, participant caps on cheap tiers are low
  • Bigger meetings climb the ladder, brand recognition outside the Zoho world is thin, so external guests meet it cold, depth of integrations and room hardware trails the giants
#6

RingCentral

Best for: Phone and video in one suite
4.1/5 on G2 (1,076 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit ringcentral.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo

RingCentral answers the version of the Webex question that is really about telephony. Webex shops often run Cisco calling beside meetings; RingCentral is the cloud suite that replaces both at once, phone system first, video meetings built in.

Its value concentrates in call heavy businesses: sales floors, support desks, clinics and practices where the phone number is the front door and video is one button deeper. Meeting only shoppers will find it oversized and priced accordingly.

Because its pricing shifts with editions and promotions, get the quote for your user count, and price the migration (numbers, handsets, call flows) beside the subscription.

What we like
  • A full communications suite: business phone system, video meetings and messaging under one provider and one bill, switching between a phone call and a video meeting is its native trick, strong fit for customer facing teams living on calls, mature admin, compliance and call analytics tooling
Watch out for
  • Pricing is edition and promotion driven, so the honest table entry is See website until quoted, the suite is more than meeting only buyers need, per user prices sit above the meeting specialists, migration of phone numbers and systems is a project, not a signup
#7

Whereby

Best for: Video embedded in your product
4.6/5 on G2 (1,161 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit whereby.com
Starting price$8.99 per month
Free planYes

Whereby is the lightweight with a second career. As a meeting tool it is the pleasant minimal room: a link with your name in it, guests in the browser, nothing to install. Therapists, tutors, coaches and small agencies run client calls on it happily.

Its distinctive product is Embedded: video meetings that live inside your own product, under your brand, through its API. Telehealth platforms, tutoring marketplaces and community apps build on it instead of building WebRTC themselves, which is a build or buy decision with an unusually clear answer at this price.

Choose Whereby when the meeting is part of your product or your practice. Choose the giants when it is part of your bureaucracy.

What we like
  • Browser based rooms with a human readable link and no downloads for guests, its Embedded product puts video calls inside your own app or website through an API, free plan covers small scale use, Meetings plans from 8.99 dollars a month per current listings, a calm, minimal interface that suits client facing professions
Watch out for
  • Not an enterprise suite: no phone system, no webinar machinery, no deep admin estate, participant and feature ceilings sit below the giants, brand recognition is low in corporate settings, recording and larger rooms sit on higher tiers
#8

Jitsi Meet

Best for: Free open source meetings
4.3/5 on G2 (232 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit meet.jit.si
Starting priceFree
Free planYes

Jitsi Meet is the freedom option: open source video conferencing you can use free at meet.jit.si or run entirely on your own infrastructure. For privacy sensitive teams, community groups and developers, it removes the vendor from the meeting altogether.

That removal cuts both ways. Video at scale is hard engineering, and Jitsi's self hosted experience rewards competent administration. Organisations adopt it deliberately (schools, public bodies, privacy led companies) and accept the operations load as the price of sovereignty.

What we like
  • Completely free and open source: join a meeting at the public instance with no account, or self host the whole platform, no time limits imposed by a pricing tier, because there is none, end to end encryption options and a privacy posture no ad funded or data hungry suite matches, developers can embed and modify it freely
Watch out for
  • Self hosting means running media servers that punish underpowered boxes
  • The public instance's quality depends on its load, no support line, no SLA, no admin console estate
  • Your organisation is the vendor, features like polished webinar modes and phone dial in need extra work, guest experience varies more than the commercial tools

How we chose

We shortlisted meeting platforms a US organisation can adopt in October 2026 that replace Webex's daily job. Webex itself is excluded as the target. Prices come from vendor pages and comparisons checked in October 2026; where sources disagreed (Zoom's Pro figure, Zoho's entry point) we quoted a figure and flagged the range in the entry rather than hiding it. RingCentral is marked See website because its pricing is edition and promotion based. We did not test call quality hands on.

How to choose a Webex alternative

Check the suite you already own before shopping. Microsoft 365 makes Teams free at the margin; Google Workspace does the same for Meet. Most Webex departures are really suite consolidations, and discovering that after signing a Zoom contract is an expensive order of operations.

Second, count hosts, not employees. Per user and per organizer pricing diverge fast: a 200 person company with eight regular hosts pays for eight on organizer models and should be quoted that way everywhere, including against Webex's own Meet plan at 12 dollars per user.

Third, run your worst meeting in the trial: the biggest audience, the worst connection, the guest on a locked down corporate laptop. Browser based tools (Meet, Whereby, Jitsi) win the locked down laptop test more often than app first tools, and nobody discovers that from a feature grid.

Finally, be honest about why Webex was bought. If the reason was regulated industry depth, Cisco room hardware or contact centre gravity, the alternatives that beat it on price will not beat it on those. Switch for the meetings you actually hold, and keep Webex where its strengths are load bearing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free Webex alternative?

Google Meet and Microsoft Teams free tiers both allow 60 minute group meetings for up to 100 people, against Webex free's 40 minutes. Jitsi Meet is the fully free, unlimited option if you accept its variability or self host it.

Is Zoom better than Webex?

For everyday cross company meetings, most switchers say yes on simplicity and connection quality. Webex keeps real edges in regulated industries, Cisco hardware environments and large structured events. Better depends on which of those sentences describes your calendar.

How much does Webex cost compared with these?

Webex Meet lists at 12 dollars per user per month in current comparisons, in the same band as GoTo Meeting's organizer price and below Zoom Pro. The alternatives win on suite economics (Teams and Meet bundled) or entry price (Zoho, Whereby), more than on a like for like undercut.

Which alternative works best for webinars?

Zoom, with its webinar add on priced by capacity tier, is the common choice, and Zoho and GoTo sell webinar products at the budget end. Price the attendee tier you need, since webinar pricing is charged on capacity, not on who attends.

Can I keep Webex for some things and switch the rest?

Yes, and many enterprises do: Webex stays for regulated or hardware bound use while daily meetings move to Teams or Zoom. The risk is guest confusion about which link to expect, so publish a simple rule for which meetings live where.
