How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Ratings come from G2, Capterra or Trustpilot, with the date we checked them.

Top AI Visibility Software for Marketers in 2026: 10 Tools Compared

Key takeaways

  • Entry prices vary a lot. Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month, Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 a month per domain (billed annually), Scrunch at $250 a month (billed annually) and Goodie at $399 a month.
  • Profound no longer sells a self-serve brand plan. Brands get a limited trial or a custom-priced Enterprise contract, so expect a sales process.
  • Prompt allowances matter more than the headline price. Otterly's $29 plan covers 15 prompts, Semrush's base plan covers 25 and Scrunch Starter covers 350 custom prompts.
  • Which AI engines you get often depends on the tier. Otterly sells Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude as add-ons, and Goodie lists Gemini only on its Pro plan.
  • Credit-based tools such as AthenaHQ and Rankscale look cheap at entry, but daily tracking across many engines uses up credits quickly.

The best AI visibility software for marketers

#1

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best for: Teams already using Semrush for SEO
Visit semrush.com
Starting price$99/month per domain (billed annually)
Free planNo (free AI visibility checker available)
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit homepage

If your team already works in Semrush, this is the easiest way to start: same login, same menu, very little setup. Enter your domain and you get a 0 to 100 visibility score, a breakdown of mentions by AI model and by country, and a competitor report that compares you with up to four rivals on share of voice and sentiment.

The base plan tracks 25 custom prompts daily and covers one domain for brand performance analysis. That is enough for a focused product line but thin for a company with several services. Semrush One bundles the SEO and AI toolkits and raises the limit to 50, 100 or 200 prompts depending on tier, which often costs less than buying add-ons one at a time.

The honest catch is depth. Specialist tools give you more prompts per dollar and finer control over personas and regions, so compare Scrunch or Peec AI if AI search becomes a main channel.

What we like
  • Pulls mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity on the base plan
  • Includes prompt research and an AI-readiness site audit
  • Reports can be scheduled and white-labeled
Watch out for
  • Only 25 tracked prompts on the base plan
  • Extra domains for brand analysis cost $99 each
#2

Otterly.AI

Best for: Small teams on a tight budget
4.7/5 on G2 (54 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit otterly.ai
Starting price$29/month (Lite, 15 prompts)
Free planFree trial (7 days, no credit card)

Otterly is the tool to pick when you need real data before anyone signs a bigger check. Lite costs $29 a month for 15 prompts tracked daily. Standard ($189 a month, 100 prompts) and Premium ($489 a month, 400 prompts) cover most small and mid-size companies, and annual billing takes about 15% off.

Per-seat fees push up the cost of many tools in this category, and Otterly avoids them with unlimited team members on every plan. From Standard up you also get unlimited workspaces, an API and a Looker Studio connector.

The weakness is which engines the base price covers. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are sold as add-ons, which can push the real monthly cost well above the listed price.

What we like
  • Lowest entry price among established trackers
  • Unlimited team members on every plan
  • Looker Studio connector and API from the Standard plan
Watch out for
  • Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude cost extra
  • Lite's 15 prompts only cover a narrow test
#3

Peec AI

Best for: Mid-size marketing teams wanting clear reporting
4.7/5 on G2 (21 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit peec.ai
Starting price$95/month (Starter, 50 prompts)
Free planSee website
Peec AI homepage

Peec AI suits in-house teams that want to see prices without talking to sales. Its published pricing lists Starter at $95 a month (50 prompts, 1 project), Pro at $245 (150 prompts, 2 projects) and Advanced at $495 (350 prompts, 5 projects), with custom Enterprise pricing above that. Agencies get their own plans starting at $245 a month.

Reviewers tend to praise the reporting, which non-specialists can read easily. Unlimited seats make it easy to share with sales and leadership.

The catch is that engine coverage differs by tier. A recent pricing roundup reported that Perplexity is on Enterprise only, and some reviewers note that additional models are paid add-ons. Peec also shows you where the gaps are rather than fixing them, so plan for writer and SEO time on top of the subscription.

What we like
  • Published prices that step up from 50 to 350 prompts
  • Separate agency plans
  • Unlimited seats
Watch out for
  • Some engines are reserved for higher tiers
  • Tracking only, so your team still does the optimization work
#4

Profound

Best for: Enterprise brands with large budgets
4.6/5 on G2 (640 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit tryprofound.com
Starting priceSee website (Enterprise pricing is custom)
Free planFree trial (limited, 7 days)
Profound homepage

Profound is built for large brands that want AI visibility run as a full program, with dedicated support and content agents. Its pricing page now gives brands two options. The Trial plan runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. The Enterprise plan adds daily tracking, more answer engines and dedicated support. Both include unlimited seats.

Profound removed its self-serve Starter and Growth brand plans in mid-September 2026, so treat any $99 or $399 brand price in older reviews as out of date. Agencies can still buy self-serve client workspaces.

For a small or mid-size company, the weakness is fit. You will not know your cost until you talk to sales. Use the trial as a benchmark, and on a modest budget expect to buy a different tool.

What we like
  • Broad answer engine coverage on Enterprise
  • Unlimited seats
  • AI agents for content work on a credit model
Watch out for
  • No self-serve brand plan
  • Pricing requires a sales conversation
#5

Scrunch

Best for: Teams that want high prompt volume per dollar
3.6/5 on G2 (14 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit scrunch.com
Starting price$250/month (billed annually) or $300 month-to-month
Free planFree trial (7 days, no credit card)
Scrunch homepage

Scrunch costs more at entry than Otterly or Peec, but you get far more prompts for the money. Starter includes 350 custom prompts, 1,000 industry prompts, 3 personas and 5 page audits. Growth ($417 a month billed annually, $500 monthly) roughly doubles most of those limits. Every plan covers the same seven AI platforms, so you don't pay extra to see Claude or Meta.

Agent traffic monitoring attributes visits from AI crawlers and assistants. Scrunch also says it won't block you when you near your limits.

The trade-off is seats and security. Starter has 3 user licenses, Growth has 5, and each extra seat costs $25 a month. Self-serve plans get email support and a 30-minute onboarding session. Slack support, SAML or OIDC SSO and the Enterprise Data API require the top tier.

What we like
  • 350 custom prompts plus 1,000 industry prompts on Starter
  • Covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta
  • You are not cut off when you near your limits
Watch out for
  • Starter includes only 3 seats, with extra seats at $25 a month
  • SAML SSO and the data API are Enterprise only
#6

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Best for: Market-level research without building prompt lists
Visit ahrefs.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Ahrefs Brand Radar homepage

Brand Radar works differently from most tools here. Besides running your own prompts, Ahrefs keeps a large index of AI answers built from queries modeled on real searches. You can look up any brand or competitor and see where it appears right away. For category research, pitch decks and early competitive analysis, that is faster than writing a prompt list from scratch.

Brand Radar is included with the main Ahrefs plans and can also be bought on its own.

The weakness is precise tracking. Reviewers note that base plans include only a handful of custom prompts and the index is not refreshed daily. If you need to watch 100 questions every day, a dedicated tracker is a better fit.

What we like
  • Large pre-built index of AI answers, so you see results before writing a single prompt
  • Sits next to Ahrefs backlink and keyword data
  • Can be bought standalone or with an Ahrefs plan
Watch out for
  • Custom prompt allowances on base Ahrefs plans are small
  • The index refreshes less often than daily trackers
#7

AthenaHQ

Best for: Teams that want optimization actions with tracking
Visit athenahq.ai
Starting priceSee website
Free planSee website
AthenaHQ homepage

AthenaHQ suits teams that want more than a dashboard. Its Action Center suggests on-page and off-page fixes, and a content optimization agent helps carry them out. That helps if you have no dedicated SEO on staff. Model coverage is broad, and reviewers report unlimited members on paid plans, so seat count is not a constraint.

Pricing runs on credits, and one credit equals one AI response. That is flexible, but it means how often you track becomes a budget decision. Tracking many prompts across ten or more models every day uses credits much faster than weekly checks, and overages are billed on top. Enterprise features such as multi-region tracking require a sales conversation.

What we like
  • Wide model coverage
  • Action Center turns findings into on-page and off-page tasks
  • Reviewers report unlimited members and CSV export on paid plans
Watch out for
  • Credit-based billing makes monthly cost depend on how often you track
  • API access is an add-on on the entry tier
#8

Goodie

Best for: Brands tying AI visibility to revenue
Visit higoodie.com
Starting price$399/month (Core)
Free planFree trial (7 days)
Goodie homepage

Goodie is aimed at marketers who have to justify AI search spend in revenue, not visibility scores. Every plan includes direct revenue attribution. On top of tracking, the Core plan adds 5 seats, strategist support and 50 optimizations a month. You can pay monthly, quarterly or annually, and annual billing gives you two months free.

The Pro plan ($999 a month) adds e-commerce features: 8 models including Gemini and Amazon Alexa, 250 prompts, and product-level (SKU) visibility in AI shopping assistants.

For a B2B company that mainly needs prompt tracking, the price is hard to justify. Core costs more than Scrunch Starter for 120 prompts versus 350, and Gemini is not on the Core model list. Goodie makes sense when you will use the strategist hours and revenue attribution, not as a pure monitoring tool.

What we like
  • Direct revenue attribution on every plan
  • Includes AEO strategist support and monthly optimizations
  • Tracks shopping assistants such as Amazon Alexa on Pro
Watch out for
  • Core tracks 5 models and Gemini appears only on Pro
  • Core's 120 prompts are fewer than cheaper rivals offer
#9

Rankscale

Best for: Hands-on SEOs who want citation detail
Visit rankscale.ai
Starting priceSee website
Free planSee website
Rankscale homepage

Rankscale is built by a small, bootstrapped team in Vienna, and the product is tightly focused. Its main strength is citation analysis. You see which sources AI engines rely on when they answer questions in your category, which tells you where to earn mentions and which of your own pages need work. Page audits score individual URLs for AI readiness.

Pricing is credit-based and starts lower than almost anything else on this list. It covers a long list of engines, each priced per run. That suits a consultant or small agency that checks a modest prompt set weekly.

The catch is how fast credits add up. Each run on each engine uses part of a credit, so tracking 100 prompts daily across several engines quickly pushes you into larger plans.

What we like
  • Very low entry cost on a credit model
  • Detailed citation analysis and page-level AI-readiness audits
  • White-label dashboards for agencies
Watch out for
  • Daily tracking at scale needs a much higher tier
  • Fewer brand dashboards on lower plans
#10

Writesonic

Best for: Content teams that want writing and tracking in one tool
4.7/5 on G2 (2,133 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit writesonic.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planSee website
Writesonic homepage

Writesonic started as an AI writing platform and added AI visibility tracking, branded as GEO, to its higher plans. For a small content team, the appeal is doing everything in one place. You find prompts where competitors win, write a page to answer them, then watch whether your mentions change. The lower tiers are writing tools only, so check which plan first includes tracking.

Teams that already have a writing process they like gain little here. As a tracker alone, it offers fewer settings than Scrunch or Peec AI.

What we like
  • Combines AI article writing with AI visibility tracking
  • Sentiment analysis and prompt research on upper plans
  • One vendor for content and measurement
Watch out for
  • AI visibility tracking is not on the entry writing plans
  • Offers less tracking detail than dedicated tools

How we chose

We started with a long list of tools sold as AI visibility, AI search tracking, GEO or AEO software. We kept only products whose core feature is tracking brand mentions and citations across the major AI answer engines. For each one, we read the vendor's pricing page and documentation, checked which engines each plan covers, and noted limits on prompts, seats, workspaces and API access.

We then checked public reviews on G2 and Capterra, Reddit discussions and recent pricing roundups to catch plan changes and common complaints. We favored fit for small and mid-size US companies: published pricing, monthly contract options, setup time and whether a non-specialist can read the reports. We did not run paid trials of every tool. Where we could not confirm a vendor's current price on its own site, we list "See website."

What to check before you buy an AI visibility tool

Count prompts, not plans

List the 30 to 100 questions a buyer would type when looking for what you sell. That list sets your plan size. A $29 plan with 15 prompts and a $250 plan with 350 prompts are not comparable, so work out the cost per tracked prompt before comparing headline prices.

Match engines to your buyers

Ask a few customers which AI assistants they use, then make sure those engines are included in the plan price rather than sold as add-ons. Coverage of Claude, Copilot and Gemini varies the most between tiers.

Watch credit models closely

Credit pricing (AthenaHQ, Rankscale, Profound's agents) charges per AI response. To estimate usage, multiply prompts by engines by runs per month, then compare the result with the plan's allowance. Flat-rate tools such as Otterly, Peec AI and Scrunch are easier to budget, even if their entry price is higher.

Plan for the work after the dashboard

Tracking shows the gaps. Closing them means new comparison pages, updates to the pages AI engines already cite, and mentions on other sites. Tools with strategist support or action lists (Goodie, AthenaHQ) take some of that work off your team.

Check contracts and exports

Ask about month-to-month billing and whether you can export raw prompt results as CSV or through an API. That way you keep your history if you switch vendors.

Frequently asked questions

What does AI visibility software actually measure?

It runs a fixed set of prompts through AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews on a schedule. It then records whether your brand is mentioned, where it appears in the answer, the sentiment, and which web pages are cited as sources. Most tools also compare these numbers against competitors you choose.

How much should a small business budget for AI visibility tracking?

Roughly $30 to $250 a month is a reasonable starting budget. Otterly.AI starts at $29, Peec AI at $95, Semrush's toolkit at $99 per domain on annual billing and Scrunch at $250 on annual billing. Enterprise platforms such as Profound use custom quotes and usually cost far more.

Can I use my existing SEO tool instead?

Yes, if you use Semrush or Ahrefs. Semrush sells an AI Visibility Toolkit and bundles it into Semrush One, and Ahrefs includes Brand Radar with its plans. Both work well for a first look, but they track fewer prompts than dedicated tools.

How often should prompts be tracked?

Daily tracking is the norm because AI answers change between runs and after model updates. Weekly checks can be enough for a small prompt set, and they cut costs on credit-based tools.

Why do results differ between tools?

Each vendor sends prompts with different settings, locations and personas, and AI answers are not fully repeatable. Pick one tool, keep your prompt list stable and judge progress by the trend over time.

Is there a free option?

Semrush offers a free AI visibility checker for a one-time snapshot. Otterly.AI, Scrunch and Goodie offer 7-day free trials, and Profound has a limited trial. Ongoing tracking with any of them requires a paid plan.
