How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Ratings come from G2, Capterra or Trustpilot, with the date we checked them.
Key takeaways
- GEO tools answer a geographic question: how do AI assistants describe and recommend your store and products in each country and language you sell in, because answers differ sharply by market.
- Rankscale advertises tracking in more than 240 countries and regions on every plan, with plans from 20 dollars per month; LLMrefs covers more than 50 countries and 20 languages in one flat 79 dollar plan with 500 prompts.
- Peec AI reports collection infrastructure in more than 80 countries, and Nightwatch goes down to city level data for local and multi location sellers.
- Profound is the enterprise option, but its pricing model is in flux: some current sources report its self serve plans were retired in September 2026 in favour of enterprise contracts.
- No GEO tool can guarantee a citation or recommendation in any market. Coverage claims are vendor figures, and depth per country matters more than the headline count.

Rankscale leads this list because the GEO question is a coverage question, and it advertises the widest map: more than 240 countries and regions, on every plan, at prices a small store can pay. For an exporter selling into thirty markets, that breadth at 20 to 99 dollars is the story.
Test the depth before you rely on it. Run your five money markets for a month and check answer volumes per country. Breadth you cannot sample properly is a brochure figure, and Rankscale's credit model means heavy multi market schedules eat credits fast.
What we like- Advertises tracking across more than 240 countries and regions on every plan, which no rival here matches on paper, credit based pricing with an Essentials plan from 20 dollars per month and Pro at 99 dollars with 1,200 credits, includes page audits plus shopping and ad analysis on Pro, credits and white label reporting suit agencies running several storefronts
Watch out for- Credit maths makes the true cost of daily multi country tracking hard to predict, country depth will vary, and the widest claims are the least verifiable, a smaller and younger vendor than Semrush or Profound, engine coverage is broad but some engines are pay per answer extras in effect
Starting price$79 per month
Free planNo
LLMrefs is the value pick for a store that sells in many places and asks many questions. Five hundred prompts across eleven engines for a flat 79 dollars is coverage per dollar nobody else here matches, and unlimited seats mean the whole team sees the same numbers.
Its keyword led approach fits ecommerce well: shopping intent starts from search like queries, and the tool expands them into prompts. What it will not do is write the fix. Your team still rewrites the product pages the data points to.
What we like- One flat plan at 79 dollars per month with 500 prompts, which is the simplest pricing in this group, covers eleven or more AI engines including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot and Meta AI, geo targeting in more than 50 countries and 20 plus languages, unlimited seats and API access included
Watch out for- Keyword style prompt building is less precise than hand written buying questions, no built in content production, so every fix happens outside the tool, weekly rather than daily refresh is reported on its standard workflow, the 79 dollar price has been advertised as limited time pricing
#3Peec AI
Best for: Multi market tracking with unlimited seats4.7/5 on

Starting price$95 per month

Peec AI is the workhorse choice for a store group tracking several markets seriously. In market collection matters: an answer collected in Germany, in German, is evidence. An answer simulated from a US data centre is a guess, and Peec's infrastructure claim speaks directly to that difference.
Budget for add ons. Fifty prompts split across three models and five countries is a thin schedule, and most real programmes will climb a tier. The pricing is published, so the climb is at least predictable.
What we like- Reports collection infrastructure in more than 80 countries, so answers are gathered in market rather than simulated, unlimited seats and clean daily tracking, choose your models on entry plans with more as add ons, strong agency and multi brand workflows for retail groups
Watch out for- Entry plan covers 50 prompts across three models, which multi market schedules consume quickly, add ons for models and volume raise the real monthly cost, optimisation actions are lighter than enterprise rivals, headquartered in Berlin, with the product shaped by European market needs first
#4Profound
Best for: Enterprise programmes across custom regions4.6/5 on

Profound remains the capability leader for an enterprise retail group running a multi region programme: custom languages and regions, daily tracking, and the analysis depth to show which sources engines cite country by country.
Go in with your eyes open on price. The public record conflicts right now, and the only safe statement is that enterprise money is involved. Get the current plan structure in writing before it anchors your budget.
What we like- The deepest prompt, citation and sentiment analysis in this category, enterprise plans offer custom languages and regions with daily tracking, up to nine engines on enterprise tiers, agent features that convert visibility gaps into content work, the reference platform for large brand programmes
Watch out for- Pricing is unsettled in current sources: some October 2026 reporting says its self serve Starter and Growth plans were retired in September 2026 for enterprise only contracts, while other current listings still show a 99 dollar starter, so the field says See website and buyers must confirm directly, enterprise contracts are priced for large organisations, depth can exceed what a store team will use
#5Otterly.AI
Best for: Country targeting on every plan, low price4.7/5 on
G2 (54 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit otterly.ai
Starting price$29 per month
Free planNo
Otterly is the budget way to stop guessing about foreign markets. Country targeting on the cheapest plan is its real distinction: a store can check its visibility in its top export market this week, for the price of a team lunch.
Its ceiling arrives quickly. Fifteen prompts across four engines is a snapshot, not a programme. Treat Otterly as the diagnostic that tells you whether a bigger GEO budget is justified, market by market.
What we like- Tracks across more than 50 countries on every plan, including the 29 dollar entry tier, daily tracking of ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, GEO audits and link citation analysis included, the cheapest credible multi country starting point here
Watch out for- Entry plan allows 15 prompts, which barely covers one market properly, Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are add ons rather than included, reporting depth is thinner than Peec or Profound, scaling to many markets means the Standard tier or above, reported around 189 dollars for 100 prompts
#6Nightwatch
Best for: City level geographic detail4.7/5 on
G2 (64 reviews, checked Oct 2026)
Visit nightwatch.io

Free planNo
Nightwatch earns its place for one reason: granularity. A retail chain with stores in forty cities does not only care about a country average. It cares whether AI answers recommend its locations in each city, and Nightwatch's geo data goes finer than country level.
If your problem is national or international rather than local, the wider platforms above are better value. If it is store by store, this is the specialist to test.
What we like- Known for precise location data down to city and ZIP level, which suits multi location retailers and local search, tracks AI visibility alongside its established rank tracking, six engines included at no extra cost in current comparisons, unlimited seats reported
Watch out for- Pricing is published in euros from around 79 dollars equivalent in comparisons, but plan structures vary between sources, so the field says See website, roots are in classic rank tracking, so its AI features are newer than the dedicated platforms, prompt volumes on entry plans are modest
#7
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
Best for: Stores already on Semrush, 220 plus countries
Visit semrush.com
Starting price$99 per month per domain
Free planNo
For a store already paying Semrush, this is the lowest friction GEO start: AI visibility in the same login, with geographic reach most rivals cannot claim at platform level. Country sites and language versions are where its dataset heritage shows.
Be precise about what the add on itself includes before buying for 220 country coverage. Semrush's platform wide numbers and the toolkit's own tracking scope are not the same thing, and the gap is exactly where disappointment lives.
What we like- Semrush reports prompt tracking across more than 220 countries and territories somewhere in its platform family, and brand performance data across tens of thousands of location and language combinations, sits inside the SEO suite your team already opens, clear add on pricing at 99 dollars per month per domain
Watch out for- Per domain pricing multiplies across a group with many storefronts and country sites, AI visibility depth is strongest on Google surfaces and thinner elsewhere, the widest location coverage figures relate to the broader Semrush platform, not all of it inside this add on, base Semrush subscription required
#8
HubSpot AI Search Grader
Best for: A free one off market snapshot
Visit hubspot.com
Starting priceFree
Free planYes
The Grader closes this list as the free starting point. Run it before you spend anything. If AI engines describe your store wrongly, or not at all, in your home market, you have the evidence to justify a paid tool and a content fix list.
Do not mistake it for a GEO programme. It is a photograph, not a film. Stores selling across borders need scheduled, per market tracking, which is what the seven tools above sell.
What we like- Genuinely free, with no card required, gives a quick read on how AI engines describe your brand, useful as the first evidence in a budget conversation, backed by a large vendor with no upsell pressure at the point of use
Watch out for- A one off grader, not tracking, so there is no trend, no schedule and no per market programme, prompt coverage is small and chosen by the tool, depth is far below every paid entry here, results live inside HubSpot's marketing funnel
How we chose
We judged this list on geographic coverage first, because that is what GEO means for a store: countries and languages collected, location depth, and engines sampled per market. Prices and coverage figures come from vendor pages and September and October 2026 comparisons, and where sources conflict, as they do on Profound's current pricing model and several plan details, the field or the prose says so rather than printing a settled number. Country counts are vendor claims and are labelled as such. No tool here can guarantee a citation or a recommendation in any market. We did not run paid accounts for this guide.
How to buy GEO coverage without buying a map you cannot use
List your real markets in revenue order and test those. A store earning 90 percent of revenue in five countries needs depth in five countries. Advertised coverage of 200 plus countries is a tie breaker, not a buying reason.
Ask how answers are collected. In market collection, in the local language, on a daily schedule, is evidence. Weekly sampling through a proxy is a weaker product wearing the same label. The vendors above differ on exactly this, and it decides what your data is worth.
Match prompts to money, per market. Ten strong buying prompts per market beat two hundred generic ones. Remember that prompt caps multiply by markets and engines: 20 prompts in 6 markets on 4 engines is 480 checks, and that arithmetic decides your real plan tier.
Judge on quarters and on fixes shipped. GEO data wobbles weekly. The metric that matters is whether the tool's findings changed your product pages, translations and review coverage in each market, and whether visibility followed over a quarter.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GEO and AEO for a store?
In practice the terms overlap. AEO usually means tracking and improving how AI answers mention your brand at all. GEO, as used here, emphasises the generative engines market by market: countries, languages and locations. A store selling internationally needs the geographic cut, which is why this guide ranks on coverage.
Do AI answers really differ by country?
Yes. Engines draw on regional sources, language specific content and localised model behaviour, so the brands cited for the same product question vary between the US, Germany and Japan, and between English and local language prompts. Single market tracking hides all of that.
How many countries should we track?
Your revenue markets, in order, plus any market you plan to enter this year. For most stores that is three to eight countries. Tracking fifty markets thinly teaches less than tracking five properly, and prompt based pricing punishes sprawl.
Can a GEO tool guarantee we appear in AI answers abroad?
No. No vendor controls model outputs in any country, and answers vary by user and day. A tool can measure your position per market and guide the content work that improves it. Guarantees of placement, in any market, are not credible.
What should we fix first if we are invisible in a market?
Usually the basics in that language: product pages that state facts a model can quote, local reviews and listings the engines cite, and accurate structured data. GEO tools earn their fee by showing which sources the engines use in that market, so you can become one of them.
