How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.
A customer starts on chat, follows up by email, and calls when frustrated. To them it is one conversation; to most companies it is three separate tickets handled by three different agents who each ask for the account number again. That disconnect is what omnichannel customer support platforms exist to eliminate.
The idea is simple and hard to execute: every interaction across every channel lands in one place, attached to one customer record, visible to every agent. When it works, customers stop repeating themselves and agents stop working blind. The ten platforms below represent the current state of that art, from AI-first automation to conversation-centric design.

We selected omnichannel support platforms with active development and real adoption in 2026, spanning enterprise suites, AI-first tools, and value options. Two URL notes: Freshdesk now lives at freshworks.com/freshdesk and Gladly at gladly.ai.
Free plan details reflect what each vendor publishes. We did not claim hands-on testing. Pricing for paid tiers is per-agent and quote-based across much of the category, so "See website" is used.
Start with your channels. List every way customers reach you today plus where they will be in two years. The platform must cover all of them natively; channel gaps force agents into side tools that break the omnichannel promise.
Next, decide your AI posture. If AI resolution is the strategy, Intercom, Zendesk, and Kustomer lead. If human agents remain central, prioritize agent experience: Front, Gladly, and Gorgias. The wrong AI bet wastes either license fees or labor.
Then count true costs. Per-agent pricing looks simple until AI add-ons, advanced features, and implementation services stack up. Model three-year total cost at your projected headcount, not today's.
Finally, trial with real conversations. Import a month of actual tickets, run them through two finalists, and measure resolution time, agent satisfaction, and customer feedback. Support software is felt in daily use; demos do not capture that.
