How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.
Key takeaways

The best marina management software
Picture a Saturday in July: the fuel dock line is six boats deep, the office phone will not stop, and a transient boater is asking whether slip B-14 is free tonight. The marina that answers in thirty seconds wins the business. The nine systems below are the ones that put that answer on a screen instead of a whiteboard, each with a different idea of what a marina actually needs.
#1
Dockwa
Best for: Marinas that want boaters booking and paying online
Visit dockwa.com

Dockwa started as the reservation app for boaters and grew into a full marina operating platform. The pitch is two-sided: boaters search, reserve and pay through the Dockwa app or Marinas.com, and your staff confirms reservations, collects payment and builds a customer database with a few clicks. Contracts, invoices, recurring billing and a mobile POS for dockside charges round out the operator side.
The honest catch is the commercial model. Dockwa publishes no marina pricing, so you start with a demo and a quote, and the value skews toward transient-heavy marinas that benefit from the boater network. If your business is mostly seasonal contracts on an inland lake, the marketplace matters less and the operations tools carry the decision. For coastal and Great Lakes marinas chasing transient revenue, it is the category leader for a reason.
What we like- Boater-facing marketplace (Marinas.com) drives transient reservations to your docks
- Online booking, payments and contracts in one flow
- Used by more than 4,000 marinas across North America
Watch out for- Pricing is quote-based with no published plans
- The network effect favors marinas in cruising regions over inland lakes

DockMaster is the heavyweight: a complete marine ERP refined over four decades. Slip and dry-stack management, reservations, billing, service work orders, parts inventory, boat sales with F&I, point of sale, payments and a full accounting suite (A/R, A/P, general ledger, 1099s) all run on one database, so nothing is re-keyed between the dock and the books. The newer DockMaster Web adds a cloud CRM, customer self-service portal, eSignatures and online payments.
The trade-off is weight. A 60-slip marina with no boatyard will find this more system than it needs, and onboarding takes longer than with cloud-first competitors. But for full-service operations where the marina, the yard and the dealership share staff and customers, having one system instead of four integrations is a genuine advantage. Expect a demo-led sales process and implementation support rather than self-serve signup.
What we like- True all-in-one scope: marina, service, inventory, POS, sales and full accounting in one database
- Desktop, web and mobile apps share one data set
- 40-plus years of marine-specific business logic
Watch out for- Enterprise-grade breadth means a longer implementation than simpler tools
- Pricing requires a sales conversation

MarinaOffice by Scribble Software is the modular answer to the multi-business marina. The core handles slips, contracts, billing and reservations; add-ons cover fuel dispenser control, ship-store POS, restaurant management, boat rentals with a drag-and-drop calendar, and service work orders. Cloud extensions add online bill pay and customer-facing web apps. QuickBooks Online integration keeps the accounting where many small operators already live.
The honest catch is the bundle math. Each module solves a real problem, but a marina that needs five of them should price the whole stack, not the base. The interface carries its desktop heritage, which matters less to back-office staff than to dock crews on tablets. For operators running a marina plus fuel plus retail plus food service, few competitors match the breadth under one vendor.
What we like- Modular suite covering marina, fuel management, POS, restaurant, boat rentals and service
- QuickBooks integration for the accounting side
- Vendor in business since 1989 with deep marina-domain experience
Watch out for- Modular pricing can stack as you add products
- The desktop heritage shows next to cloud-native competitors
#4
Marinago
Best for: Operators wanting the MarinaOffice family in true cloud form
Visit marinago.com
Starting priceSee website (quote-based)
Free planNo
Marinago is Scribble Software's cloud-native marina platform: slip reservations on a visual map, fuel dock and ship-store sales, service scheduling, billing, reporting and automated customer messaging by email and text. Two-way accounting integration with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Sage Intacct is a standout for operators that refuse to re-key transactions.
The catch is newness. Marinago is the younger sibling of the long-established MarinaOffice desktop suite, so its customer proof base is thinner and its feature list is still growing. Pricing follows the family pattern: request a demo, get a quote. Choose Marinago if you want the Scribble Software domain knowledge without a Windows desktop deployment; choose MarinaOffice if you need the full modular suite today.
What we like- Cloud-native marina management from the same vendor as MarinaOffice
- Visual marina map for reservations
- Two-way accounting sync with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct
Watch out for- Newer product with a smaller public track record than its desktop sibling
- Pricing by demo and quote only
#5
PacsoftNG
Best for: Marinas that want cloud or on-premise deployment on their terms
Visit pacsoftmms.com

PacsoftNG from Pacsoft International is the flexible-deployment option: the same marina management system runs in the cloud or on your own servers, which matters to operators with data-control requirements or unreliable connectivity. The feature set covers the core well: real-time berth availability, drag-and-drop berth assignment, reservations, automated invoicing, seasonal planning, customer and vessel records, and integrations with accounting platforms.
The honest catch is process. Pricing is a tailored quote based on marina size and complexity, and as a New Zealand company, Pacsoft's support hours and onboarding logistics deserve a direct question from US buyers. For operators that want a comprehensive system without committing to a pure-cloud vendor, the deployment choice alone can settle it.
What we like- Both cloud and on-premise deployment from one vendor
- Real-time berth availability with drag-and-drop assignment
- Accounting integrations and mobile access for dock staff
Watch out for- Custom-quote pricing with no published plans
- New Zealand vendor, so US buyers should confirm support hours and onboarding

FSM (from Professional Software) is the traditionalist's choice: a .NET and SQL Server marina management system with one of the deepest feature lists in the category. Wet storage dock management, dry-stack rack management with launch scheduling, repair orders with inventory, POS, fuel pump interfaces, access control, boat sales and fully integrated accounting are all in the box. The graphical marina view gives a visual map of every slip, rack and land space.
The catch is the era it comes from. This is a Windows-server system, deployable on-premise or on cloud infrastructure like AWS or Azure, not a browser-first SaaS product. That is a feature for operators with IT staff and a drawback for everyone else. FSM's installed base skews toward large marina chains that surveyed the market and chose depth. Expect to talk to a human, not click a signup button.
What we like- Extremely deep module list: wet and dry storage, launch scheduling, repair orders, fuel, POS, boat sales and full accounting
- Interactive graphical marina view for slips, racks and land storage
- Strong among large US marina chains
Watch out for- Windows and .NET heritage, not a modern cloud SaaS experience
- Sales process is phone and demo based

InfoMarina from Logicus Informatique is the focused Canadian option: reservations, billing and an interactive layout module that shows your facility as a visual map with day-by-day occupancy. Billing is flexible (hourly to seasonal), covers fuel and retail sales, and accepts all payment methods. The Acomba integration moves accounting transactions to that platform rather than duplicating an accounting suite.
The honest catch is scope. InfoMarina does reservations and billing well and leaves accounting, deep service management and POS to integrations and other tools. For a marina or yacht club whose core need is berth management and member billing, that focus is a strength: less to learn, less to pay for. For full-service yards, look at the ERP-grade options above. Pricing is quote-based, sold by module.
What we like- Focused modules for reservations, billing and interactive site layout
- Billing by hour, day, week, month or season with fuel and retail
- Long history serving marinas and yacht clubs since 1996
Watch out for- Accounting handled via integration (Acomba) rather than built in
- Module-based packaging means pricing the options you need

Nautical Software Solution has been in marine software since 1992, and its lineup reflects that experience: The Marina Program for slip management and scheduled billing, M-PRO for boatyard work orders and inventory, and MShop as a cost-effective service-shop system. Cloud hosting, PCI-compliant online payments with a customer bill-pay portal, two-way texting, integrated POS and e-signature contract management cover the modern checklist.
The catch is mostly profile. This is a proven vendor that does not market as loudly as the category leaders, so stakeholder buy-in takes a demo rather than a brand name. The "try before you buy" policy lowers the risk of that demo. For mid-size marinas and boatyards that want billing-first software without an enterprise implementation, it deserves a slot on the shortlist.
What we like- Three tailored products (marina billing, boatyard management, service shop) instead of one bloated suite
- Online payments, POS, texting and contracts included
- Vendor operating since 1992
Watch out for- Less known than Dockwa or DockMaster, which can slow internal buy-in
- Pricing still requires a quote
#9
Storable Marine
Best for: Slip, rental and service operations wanting one simple cloud system
Visit getmolo.com

Storable Marine is the current name for the product formerly known as Molo, now part of the Storable platform family. It runs slip scheduling, mooring and storage, service workflows, fleet rentals, payments and reporting from one cloud system, with online booking so boaters can reserve around the clock and mobile tools for crews working the docks. Dynamic pricing, automated waivers and unified billing target the revenue side, not just operations.
The honest catch is transition. The Molo-to-Storable Marine rebrand is recent, and buyers should ask directly about the roadmap and how existing Molo customers are being migrated. The product itself is modern and purpose-built, with real-time availability and 80-plus reports. For marinas that also run rentals or a service department, the unified approach beats stitching separate tools. Get the demo, and get the roadmap answers in writing.
What we like- Unified cloud system for slips, rentals, service workflows and payments
- Online booking and mobile tools for dock and office crews
- 80-plus built-in reports with accounting integrations
Watch out for- Rebranded from Molo under Storable, so long-term product direction is still settling
- Demo-led sales with no published pricing
What actually matters when you demo marina software
Forget the feature checklist for the first call and test the five things that decide whether the software survives contact with your season. First, the reservation flow: can a transient boater book and pay online without calling you, and can your staff see it instantly? Second, billing: seasonal contracts, metered electricity, fuel, storage and service on one invoice, with autopay that actually works. Third, the map: a visual layout of slips, moorings, racks and land storage that the dock crew can read at a glance.
Fourth, money movement: PCI-compliant card and ACH processing, online bill pay, and where the accounting lands (built-in, QuickBooks, or another integration). Fifth, the offline question: what happens when the dock Wi-Fi dies on a busy Saturday? Cloud vendors should have an answer involving mobile apps or cached modes. Run every finalist through the same five tests with your own slip map and your own rate card, and the right choice usually becomes obvious before the quote arrives.
Cloud vs on-premise: the decision that shapes everything else
This category is split between two eras. Dockwa, Marinago, Storable Marine and PacsoftNG's cloud option are browser and mobile-first: no servers, automatic updates, access from anywhere, and a subscription bill. FSM, MarinaOffice's desktop core and parts of DockMaster's lineup keep the on-premise or private-hosting model: your servers, your data, your IT burden, and usually a license or higher-touch contract.
Neither is wrong. Cloud wins for small teams with no IT staff and for multi-location operators who need one view of everything. On-premise wins when connectivity is unreliable, when ownership wants the data on its own hardware, or when an existing system already runs that way and migration risk dominates. Decide this before you shortlist, because it eliminates half the field and saves you four wasted demos. Note that "cloud-hosted desktop" is a middle option several vendors offer: the old application running on someone else's servers.
Frequently asked questions
How much does marina management software cost?
Almost every vendor quotes rather than publishes. Expect anywhere from a few hundred dollars a month for small cloud systems to five-figure annual contracts for ERP-grade platforms, usually scaled by slip count, modules and users. Get at least three quotes on the same slip count and module list, and ask what onboarding, training and payment processing fees add.
Can boaters book slips online with these tools?
Yes, with the reservation-focused ones. Dockwa is built around boater self-booking through its app and marketplace, and Storable Marine, Marinago and The Marina Program offer online booking and bill pay. The traditional ERP systems handle reservations internally and add customer portals as modules. If transient online booking is the goal, weight that feature first.
Do these systems handle fuel dock and ship store sales?
Most do. DockMaster, MarinaOffice, PacsoftNG, FSM and The Marina Program include POS and fuel management (some with pump interfaces). Dockwa covers dockside charges through its mobile POS. InfoMarina handles fuel and retail billing. Confirm pump hardware compatibility before committing, since fuel integrations are hardware-specific.
Will the software replace my accounting system?
Sometimes. DockMaster and FSM include full accounting suites; most others integrate with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) or Sage products instead. Decide whether you want one system or a best-of-breed accounting integration, then check that the sync is two-way and automatic, not a monthly CSV export.
How long does implementation take?
Cloud systems can go live in weeks if your data is clean. ERP-grade platforms with accounting, inventory and service modules typically take one to three months including data migration and training. Start the project in the off-season: nobody wants to learn new software during the July rush.
What about support during boating season?
Ask for support hours in writing, including weekends. Several vendors are small teams, and a billing outage on a holiday weekend is the worst time to discover email-only support. Also ask who does data migration from your current system; the vendors that do it for you earn their fee in the first month.
How we chose
We started with the searches marina buyers actually run: marina management software, marina software and marina reservation system. For each candidate we opened the vendor homepage, confirmed the official URL, and checked the vendor's own site for pricing and free-trial facts. We compared reservation flows, billing depth, boatyard and service coverage, accounting approach and deployment model, and checked public reviews on Capterra, GetApp and SourceForge plus practitioner discussion in marine trade press. Where a price could not be verified on the vendor's own page, we wrote "See website" instead of guessing.
