How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.
Key takeaways
- Mintsoft (3PL Starter from £375/month) and Descartes Peoplevox (from $2,050/month) are the only WMS vendors here with published entry prices.
- ShipHero, Extensiv, Deposco, Logiwa, Synapse and Infoplus are all quote-only: budget discovery calls and implementation quotes, not just licenses.

The best 3pl software
Most 3PLs do not outgrow their warehouse; they outgrow their software. The spreadsheet that tracked 50 orders a day collapses at 500, client billing becomes guesswork, and the EDI requirements of a new retail client take six weeks of manual work. 3PL software, really warehouse management built for multi-client operations, fixes the category's specific problems: client separation, client billing, EDI, and fulfillment at volume. These nine tools cover the real market, from transparent mid-market WMS to enterprise warehouse execution.
#1
ShipHero
Best for: E-commerce brands and 3PLs handling DTC fulfillment at volume
Visit shiphero.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
ShipHero is e-commerce fulfillment software first: returns management, automation rules, rate shopping and marketplace integrations tuned for online sellers, with a dedicated 3PL edition adding client billing, client portals and a sandbox. The developer platform and included API access suit brands with technical teams. It also operates a fulfillment-services network, a separate business from the WMS software.
The commercial terms need attention: entirely quote-based pricing (third-party listings cite roughly $1,850-$1,995/month entry, unconfirmed), and the auto-renewal clause means the contract extends a year unless you send written notice 30 days out. Diary that date on signing day. It fits the DTC brand or 3PL whose world is Shopify and marketplaces. Heavier B2B distribution needs a different tool.
What we like- Purpose-built for e-commerce DTC with deep Shopify, BigCommerce and marketplace integrations
- Separate Brand and 3PL editions with client billing and portals
- API access included across plans
Watch out for- No published pricing
- Software terms auto-renew annually unless you give 30 days' written notice
#2
Extensiv
Best for: Established 3PL warehouses with complex multi-client operations
Visit extensiv.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Extensiv's 3PL Warehouse Manager, formerly 3PL Central, is the category specialist: everything a third-party logistics provider does differently from a brand warehouse, multi-client inventory separation, client billing for handling, storage and shipping, EDI compliance, client dashboards, is native rather than bolted on. The integration network spans marketplaces, carts, carriers and QuickBooks, and hundreds of editable fields adapt workflows and labels.
That depth costs money and time: quote-only pricing that buyer analyses put from low four figures monthly for small setups to $8,000-plus for large ones, with implementations from $5,000 to $50,000-plus. Annual subscriptions with a setup fee. It fits the established 3PL with complex operations. Small operators should start with Mintsoft's published pricing instead.
What we like- Built specifically for 3PLs: multi-client separation, client billing and EDI are native
- Broad integration network across marketplaces, carts, carriers and accounting
- Highly customizable workflows and labeling
Watch out for- Platform complexity can overwhelm small 3PLs
- Implementation costs are a real line item
#3
Infios
Best for: Mid-market to enterprise 3PLs with complex, high-volume or automated warehouses
Visit infios.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Infios, rebranded from Korber Supply Chain Software in March 2025 (older references say Korber or HighJump), is the heavyweight: a multi-year Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader in WMS with AI slotting, robotics integration and labor management that lighter tools cannot touch. The e3PL edition brings multi-client separation and billing to the same warehouse core. For automated, high-volume 3PL operations, this is the execution standard.
Smaller 3PLs will find the cost and implementation scope disproportionate: partner-led delivery, enterprise term licenses, and timelines measured in quarters. It fits the 3PL running serious volume with automation ambitions. Everyone else gets faster value from Extensiv, Deposco or Mintsoft.
What we like- Enterprise warehouse execution depth: slotting, labor management, automation and robotics integration
- E3PL edition adds multi-client separation and billing
- Cloud-first with embedded warehouse AI
Watch out for- Enterprise pricing and implementation scale aimed well above SMB budgets
- Longer time to value than lighter tools
#4
Mintsoft
Best for: Growing 3PLs and fulfillment businesses wanting predictable pricing
Visit mintsoft.com
Starting priceFrom £375/month (3PL Starter: 3,000 orders/month, 10 clients)
Free planNo
Mintsoft's transparency is its edge in a quote-only category: 3PL Starter from £375/month (3,000 orders, 10 clients), Medium £649 (5,000 orders, 15 clients), Large from £899 (7,500 orders, 20 clients), Extra Large from £1,149 (10,000 orders, 30 clients), all with unlimited browser users and 131 standard integrations. The native client portal and billing handle the 3PL-specific charges properly. E-commerce brands (non-3PL) start at £159/month.
The catches: UK-based (part of The Access Group), so US buyers should confirm support hours; mobile app licenses and automation modules cost extra; and £375/month is still a real commitment at typical exchange rates. Guided onboarding with dedicated setup, monthly subscriptions. It fits the growing 3PL that wants to know the price before the sales call.
What we like- Rare transparent published pricing with volume-based tiers
- Unlimited browser users on every plan
- Native 3PL client portal with billing for handling, storage and shipping
Watch out for- GBP pricing from a UK vendor (confirm support hours and tax treatment)
- Mobile licenses and advanced automation cost extra
#5
Descartes Peoplevox
Best for: Mid-market e-commerce brands and 3PLs doing meaningful daily volume
Visit peoplevox.com
Starting priceFrom $2,050/month (includes 5 concurrent users, 24/7 support)
Free planNo
Peoplevox publishes what others hide: from $2,050/month including 5 concurrent users, all core WMS components, a dedicated client success manager and 24/7 support, with one-time implementation from $11,600. The product earns it: scan-verified, guided pick-pack-ship workflows that keep accuracy high during peak, backed by Descartes' 30-plus years in logistics software. E-commerce brands get error-free fulfillment; 3PLs get a solid multi-client foundation.
The floor is the filter: $2,050/month plus five figures of implementation targets operations with real daily volume. Regional pricing varies (APAC quotes differ), so get your region's number. Implementation runs weeks. It fits the mid-market operation that has outgrown spreadsheets and lighter tools and can justify the investment with volume.
What we like- Published starting price with defined scope, unusual among enterprise WMS vendors
- Scan-verified guided workflows that cut mis-picks
- Descartes' global logistics platform behind it
Watch out for- $2,050/month plus ~$11,600 implementation is steep for small operations
- Region-dependent pricing
#6
Deposco
Best for: Omnichannel brands and 3PLs outgrowing lighter WMS tools
Visit deposco.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Deposco's pitch is unification: warehouse management and order management in one platform, so omnichannel brands stop maintaining the integration between them. Multi-client 3PL support with billing and branded portals comes built in. Implementation at 3-6 months beats the 6-18 months of legacy enterprise WMS, which matters for growing companies that cannot pause operations for a year.
Reviewers note limits versus Manhattan or Blue Yonder in advanced scenarios, some hardcoded put-away logic, and NetSuite integrations needing extra work. Pricing is quote-only with buyer estimates from roughly $3,000-$15,000/month unverified. It fits the brand or 3PL stepping up from ShipHero or Fishbowl without going full enterprise. Annual SaaS subscriptions.
What we like- Unified WMS and OMS in one platform, no order-to-warehouse integration to maintain
- Built-in multi-client 3PL support with billing and branded portals
- Faster implementation than legacy enterprise WMS (3-6 months)
Watch out for- Less advanced than tier-1 platforms in places
- Third-party ERP integrations can need extra work
#7
Logiwa IO
Best for: Growth-stage 3PLs and high-volume brands expecting headcount growth
Visit logiwa.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Logiwa's economic model is the story: unlimited users, no per-seat fees, no core features behind paywalls. For a 3PL adding staff and clients constantly, software that does not penalize growth is structurally attractive. The platform itself is cloud-native fulfillment management with AI-powered order and batch optimization, a customizable automation engine, and pre-built integrations from day one.
The price is fully custom on fulfillment volume and complexity, so budgeting needs a discovery call; buyer analyses put mid-tier deployments around $1,000-$5,000/month unverified. Reviewers flag billing glitches and expensive add-ons. Annual partnerships positioned as shared growth goals. It fits the growth-stage 3PL that expects headcount to rise. Smaller operators may find the entry high.
What we like- Unlimited users with no per-seat fees and no gated core features
- Cloud-native fulfillment with AI order optimization and automation engine
- Pre-built cart, marketplace and carrier integrations
Watch out for- Fully custom volume-based pricing
- Add-ons and upgrades can get expensive per reviewers
#8
Synapse WMS
Best for: Mid-market 3PLs and distributors wanting deep configurability
Visit zethcon.com
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Synapse, from Zethcon, is the configurability play: complex 3PL processes like kitting, value-added services and recalls get configured through a questionnaire-driven setup rather than custom development. Multi-client management, billing and paperless RF mobility with scanning cover the 3PL fundamentals. Implementation is typically faster than tier-1 WMS.
The vendor is smaller than the big names, so buyers should verify support capacity and roadmap, and the UI reflects an older lineage that teams used to modern software may find utilitarian. Pricing and implementation are entirely quote-driven. It fits the mid-market 3PL with complex processes that wants them configured, not coded. Reference customers in your niche matter more here than anywhere else on this list.
What we like- Purpose-built for 3PLs: multi-client management, billing and value-added-service tracking
- Highly configurable workflows via questionnaire setup
- Paperless RF scanning for real-time task management
Watch out for- No published pricing and small vendor footprint
- Utilitarian UI lineage
Starting priceSee website
Free planNo
Infoplus is the flexible mid-market WMS: workflows mold to the business rather than the reverse, with pre-built integrations for Shopify, QuickBooks, carriers and EDI. Real-time multi-location inventory visibility plus quality and returns management cover the e-commerce and wholesale basics. Implementation is professional-services-led with fast setup positioning.
The pricing page shows no numbers, so the article quotes none: third-party listings cite $495-$895/month tiers, unverified and not published here. Reviewers find the interface cluttered and custom reports often need support help. The vendor runs promos (months free with an appointment), which is a discount, not a trial. It fits the small-to-mid operation that values adaptability over polish.
What we like- Flexible customizable workflows that adapt without heavy IT
- Pre-built Shopify, QuickBooks, carrier and EDI integrations
- Real-time multi-location inventory with returns management
Watch out for- No published pricing
- Interface reported as cluttered with a limited mobile app
How we chose
We started with the searches buyers actually run: best 3pl software and best 3pl wms software. For each candidate we checked the vendor's own pricing page first, then cross-checked plan names and prices against independent reviews and practitioner discussion on G2, Capterra and Reddit, and compared multi-client depth, billing, EDI support, integrations and company-size fit. Where a price could not be verified on the vendor's page we wrote "See website" rather than repeating estimates. The shortlist mixes transparent mid-market tools with enterprise platforms because a 10-person 3PL and a national operator are not buying the same thing.
The implementation question nobody asks first
WMS implementations fail on data and process, not software. Before signing, ask each vendor: who migrates our item masters, client data and open orders, and what does that cost. Implementation ranges here run from guided onboarding (Mintsoft) to $11,600-plus (Peoplevox) to $5,000-$50,000-plus (Extensiv) to partner-led quarters (Infios). Get the number in the statement of work, not in a sales email.
Second, test EDI with your actual trading partners during the trial, not after go-live: "EDI support" varies from certified connections to "we can build it." Third, confirm the billing model handles your client contracts: per-order, per-unit, storage by cubic foot, value-added services. If the WMS cannot bill how you sell, the finance team inherits a spreadsheet. Fourth, diary every auto-renewal date on signing day; ShipHero's 30-day notice clause is the warning, not the exception.
Frequently asked questions
How much does 3PL software cost?
Published entry prices: Mintsoft 3PL Starter from £375/month, Peoplevox from $2,050/month plus ~$11,600 implementation. Everything else is quote-only, with buyer estimates from roughly $1,000/month (Logiwa mid-tier) to $8,000+/month (large Extensiv deployments), all unverified. Implementation is always separate: budget it explicitly.
What is the difference between a WMS and 3PL software?
A WMS manages one company's warehouse. 3PL software is WMS plus multi-client separation, client billing, client portals and EDI: the machinery for running other companies' inventory. ShipHero, Extensiv, Mintsoft, Logiwa and Synapse are 3PL-native; generic WMS tools need heavy customization to serve 3PL clients.
Do we need EDI capability?
If you serve retail clients, yes: big-box retailers require EDI for purchase orders, advance ship notices and invoices, and non-compliance means chargebacks. Extensiv, Deposco and Infoplus all handle EDI; confirm your specific trading partners and document types during evaluation, not after purchase.
Can 3PL software handle our Shopify and Amazon volume?
Yes, across the board: marketplace and cart integrations are table stakes. ShipHero and Peoplevox lead on e-commerce-native fulfillment; Extensiv and Deposco cover it within broader 3PL operations. The differentiator is automation at volume: rules engines, wave management and rate shopping matter more than the integration list once orders scale.
How long does WMS implementation take?
Guided onboarding (Mintsoft, Infoplus): weeks. Implementation-led mid-market (Peoplevox, Deposco, Logiwa): 3-6 months. Enterprise (Infios, large Extensiv): two to four quarters. The driver is data migration and process configuration, not software installation. Do not plan a go-live during your peak season.
What to verify before you sign
Count the billable units in your client contracts first: orders, units, storage cubic footage, value-added service lines. Then confirm the WMS bills natively in those units; if it cannot, you inherit reconciliation work forever. Second, verify user economics: Mintsoft and Logiwa offer unlimited users, while others charge per seat or per concurrent user, which changes the three-year cost at 50 warehouse staff.
Third, test the client portal with a real client during the trial: if clients cannot see inventory and place orders without calling you, the portal has failed its job. Fourth, confirm support hours and escalation paths in your timezone; warehouses run shifts, and Monday-to-Friday support does not cover a Saturday peak. Get the SLA in the contract.
