Anyone who signed up for Patreon on or after August 4, 2025 pays a single flat 10% platform fee. Creators who joined earlier keep access to Patreon's legacy plans: Lite at 5%, Pro at 8%, and Premium at 12%, each unlocking different creator tools alongside the different fee rate. Higher legacy tiers are not simply worse deals, they include features like merch integrations and multiple membership tiers that the Lite plan does not offer.
On top of the platform fee, Patreon charges standard payment processing of 2.9% plus $0.30 per pledge. For legacy creators, pledges of $3 or less use a separate micro-pledge rate of 5% plus $0.10 instead, since the fixed $0.30 fee would otherwise take an outsized bite out of a small pledge. This calculator applies the micro-pledge rate automatically whenever your entered pledge amount is $3 or less.
This tool covers the platform fee and standard payment processing only. It does not include Patreon's 2.5% currency conversion fee for payments in a different currency than your payout currency, separate payout fees, or Apple's 30% in-app purchase commission, which applies instead of Patreon's own processing fee whenever a patron pledges through Patreon's iOS app.
