Organic traffic is the number of visitors a site gets from unpaid search results. This tool estimates a domain's monthly organic traffic from the United States by looking at every keyword it ranks for, the position it holds, and how many people search each term. It is an estimate, not a meter on the site, but it is a reliable way to size up how much search visibility a domain has.
Alongside the traffic estimate, the tool shows two supporting numbers. Organic keywords is the total count of search terms the domain ranks for in the top 100. Keywords in the top 10 is how many of those sit on page one, where almost all the clicks happen. A site can rank for thousands of keywords but earn little traffic if few of them reach page one, so these numbers together tell the real story.
Checking your competitors' traffic shows you who is winning in your space and by how much. If a rival pulls far more organic traffic than you, their keyword and content strategy is worth studying. If your traffic is close to theirs, you are in a real fight where content quality and links decide the winner. Either way, the number turns a vague sense of competition into something you can measure.
Checking your own estimate over time is a simple health check for your SEO. Steady growth in traffic and top 10 keywords means your content is gaining ground. A flat or falling estimate is a prompt to look at what changed, whether that is lost rankings, a Google update, or competitors overtaking you. Use it as a directional trend, not an exact visitor count.
Enter your own domain to see your estimate, then check two or three competitors to benchmark. Compare both the traffic figure and the share of keywords in the top 10, since a competitor with fewer keywords but more of them on page one may be beating you with sharper focus. Use the gaps you find to guide where to invest next.
Pair this with the other tools here. When you spot a strong competitor, use the SERP checker to see where they rank for your target keywords, the keyword ideas tool to find terms they may be missing, and the domain authority checker to judge whether links or content is the real difference. Traffic is the headline; those tools tell you how to close the gap.
