Organization schema is the structured data that tells search engines and AI crawlers who you are as a business, separate from any single page of content. This generator turns a short form into valid Organization JSON-LD you can paste into your homepage, without hand-writing any code or guessing at field names.

What Organization schema covers

The Organization type carries your name, legal name, website, logo, a short description, a contact point, a postal address, and a sameAs array linking to verified profiles elsewhere, such as LinkedIn, Facebook or X. Google uses these signals to build or correct the Knowledge Panel that can appear when someone searches your brand name directly, and AI answer engines use the same entity data to confirm which website is the real, official source for a brand before citing it.

The sameAs property is what connects your website to your other verified profiles as the same entity in Google's eyes, so only include profiles you actually control and keep active, not every account you have ever created. For the logo, Google recommends a square image at least 112 by 112 pixels, hosted on a stable URL, since a broken or resized logo link is a common reason Organization markup gets flagged in validators or ignored for the Knowledge Panel.

Organization schema vs LocalBusiness schema

Use Organization for any company, including online-only or multi-location businesses where a single street address does not represent the whole brand. Use LocalBusiness instead, which extends Organization with fields for opening hours and a specific physical location, when customers actually visit or call one address, such as a single-location shop, clinic or restaurant. Only publish one Organization block per site, typically on the homepage or in a shared template, since multiple slightly different versions across pages send conflicting signals rather than reinforcing the same one.

FAQ

Organization Schema Generator: questions, answered

What is Organization schema for?
Organization schema is JSON-LD structured data describing your business: its name, logo, official website, and links to verified profiles such as social media accounts. Google can use it to build or correct the Knowledge Panel that appears when people search your brand name.
What does the sameAs property do?
sameAs lists the URLs of your verified profiles elsewhere, like LinkedIn, Facebook or X. It helps Google connect your website and those profiles as the same entity, which supports Knowledge Panel accuracy and brand entity recognition in AI search results.
What size should my logo be?
Google recommends a square logo image at least 112 by 112 pixels, ideally higher resolution, in a common format like PNG, JPG or SVG, hosted on a stable URL that will not change.
Should every page have Organization schema, or just the homepage?
One instance is enough, typically on the homepage or in a shared template that outputs it site-wide. Adding it once is what search engines look for; duplicating slightly different versions across pages can create conflicting signals.
How is this different from LocalBusiness schema?
Organization is the general type for any company, including online-only businesses. LocalBusiness extends it with a physical address and opening hours, and should be used instead if customers visit or call a specific location, such as a store or office.
