How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.
Someone joins the company, and within minutes they need email, Slack, Salesforce, VPN and a dozen other accounts with the right roles. Someone leaves, and every one of those accounts must die the same day. Identity platforms with HR integration automate that lifecycle: the HR system declares who works here and in what role, and the identity platform provisions, adjusts and revokes access accordingly.
That HR-driven model is the difference between identity that stays accurate and identity that rots. The nine platforms below handle it well, from HR-native systems like Rippling to identity specialists like Okta and SailPoint that treat HR as the master source.

We selected workforce identity platforms with genuine HR integration: HR-as-master provisioning, lifecycle workflows driven by employment events, or native HR-plus-identity architecture. Pure SSO point tools without lifecycle, customer identity (CIAM) platforms and password managers were excluded. Pricing reflects published figures where vendors disclose them; enterprise platforms are custom-quoted.
Start from the system of record: if HR already runs on Rippling, its native identity may end the search; if Microsoft 365 dominates, audit Entra ID before buying Okta. Map the joiner-mover-leaver flow end to end and test it in a pilot, because provisioning demos always work and deprovisioning is where products fail. Confirm HR connector support for your specific HRIS, and check deprovisioning SLAs: same-day revocation is the requirement, not a feature. Finally, budget identity as security infrastructure with MFA and device trust included, not as an IT convenience.
