How we make this list: we compare pricing pages, product documentation and public user reviews. Rankite is independent; if a vendor ever pays for a featured spot, that listing is clearly labeled Partner.

Best Flooring Software in 2026: 8 Tools Compared

Key takeaways

  • Most flooring dealers end up choosing between two paths: a full ERP like RFMS or QFloors that runs the whole business, or a lighter stack of an estimating app plus QuickBooks.
  • The only vendor with fully published per-user pricing is MeasureSquare (desktop Retail $540/year per user, Commercial $1,970/year); the ERP vendors quote by phone.
  • If your sales team closes jobs at the kitchen table, QuoteHero and the MeasureSquare mobile app are built for exactly that moment.
  • A room visualizer like Roomvo is a different purchase from operations software: it lifts close rates on the website, it does not run your warehouse.

The best flooring software

A mis-measured room costs a flooring dealer twice: once in the material that gets wasted, once in the installer standing around waiting for the reorder. Flooring software exists because the trade has problems generic software never thinks about, like carpet rolls with dye lots, remnants that need tracking, seam diagrams, and sales tax that changes by job site. The eight tools below cover the real categories buyers shop: full ERP systems, takeoff and estimating apps, field sales tools, and visualizers. Work out which layer you are buying before you compare prices.

#1

RFMS

Best for: Multi-location flooring retailers that need a full ERP
Visit rfms.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote, sold in tiered subscription packages)
Free planNo (guided demo available)
RFMS homepage

RFMS is the industry-standard ERP for flooring, now the operational core of the Cyncly Flooring Suite. It was built for the way floor covering businesses actually work: order entry, sales reporting, products and inventory, scheduling, accounting and HR in one system, with add-on tiers for B2B ecommerce, contract pricing, mobile apps and warehouse management. The mobile and CRM pieces (RFMS CRM, Warehouse Mobile, mobile work orders) extend the system to installers and warehouse staff.

The honest catch is the buying process. RFMS sells tiered subscription packages (Core, Professional, Advanced, Enterprise) but publishes no prices, so budget planning means a demo and a quote. Multi-location and commercial dealers get the most value; a single-van installer will find it heavy. If you want one system that a 10-location dealer can run the whole business on, this is the reference point every other flooring ERP gets measured against.

What we like
  • Built specifically for floor covering accounting, inventory and order entry
  • Trusted by 3,000+ dealers across 6,000+ locations per the vendor
  • Suite connects the ERP with CRM, websites, measuring tools and payments
Watch out for
  • No published pricing, so every deal starts with a sales conversation
  • Implementation is a project with training, not a self-serve signup
#2

MeasureSquare

Best for: Estimators and contractors who do flooring takeoffs and bids
Visit measuresquare.com
Starting price$540/year per user (Desktop Retail); Commercial $1,970/year per user
Free planNo (free web calculators on the site)
MeasureSquare homepage

MeasureSquare is the takeoff specialist. MeasureSquare 8 handles carpet, sheet vinyl, tile and hardwood estimating with floor plan import, scaled measurements and detailed bid reports, POs and work orders generated from the takeoff. The mobile app connects to laser meters from Leica, DeWALT, Stabila and others so a rep can measure, estimate and quote on site, and the CRM and cloud products carry the job through scheduling and job costing. A free web flooring calculator sits on the site for quick checks.

Pricing is public, which is rare in this market. Desktop Retail runs $540 per year per user and Commercial $1,970 per year per user; the mobile app is $540 per year per user for Retail and $870 for Multi-family, with onboarding services (starter kit $400, classes $199) sold separately. If takeoffs are your bottleneck, price a couple of seats and measure the time saved per bid before you look at anything else.

What we like
  • Purpose-built takeoff with seam diagrams, tile layouts and 3D views
  • Pairs with Bluetooth laser meters and a mobile app for on-site measuring
  • Transparent published per-user pricing
Watch out for
  • The desktop product is Windows-only
  • Per-user annual pricing adds up fast for large estimating teams
#3

QFloors

Best for: Single-showroom to mid-size dealers that want one system for everything
Visit qfloors.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote)
Free planNo (free guided demo)
QFloors homepage

QFloors takes the opposite approach from modular platforms: one complete system with just six primary screens, designed so everyone from the showroom to the warehouse uses the same screens the same way. It covers proposals and invoices, instant job costing on the sales screen, inventory with purchase order management, vendor invoicing, checkbook, fully integrated accounting, built-in CRM and lead tracking, plus modules for commercial flooring, multi-family housing and new construction. Card processing is integrated, and third-party connectivity is available for the website and other apps.

The standout is the training model. Every purchase includes unlimited training and support, with free two-day courses in Salt Lake City and a four-day onsite conversion option where their team comes to your store and moves the whole business over in under a week. That matters because the buyers here are not IT departments, they are flooring dealers. Pricing is quote-only, so get the number in writing with the user count and modules spelled out.

What we like
  • Six-screen interface the whole team can learn
  • Unlimited training and support included with purchase
  • Integrates with MeasureSquare estimating and Roomvo visualization
Watch out for
  • No published pricing
  • The sales-led buying process makes quick price comparisons hard
#4

Broadlume

Best for: Flooring retailers that want websites, marketing and management software from one vendor
Visit broadlume.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote)
Free planNo
Broadlume homepage

Broadlume is what happened when the flooring industry's software consolidated. The company combined its legacy brands (FloorForce websites, RollMaster flooring and accounting software, Retail Lead Management and others) into a single platform with one login, covering the retailer website, digital retailing, the flooring visualizer, lead management, payment processing and the business management software. In 2025 the company entered an agreement to be acquired by Cyncly, which also owns RFMS, so the two biggest names in flooring software now sit under one roof.

For a dealer, the pitch is fewer vendors: the same company builds the website that generates the lead, manages the lead, and runs the accounting behind the sale. The tradeoff is the same as any platform play. Pricing is quote-only, and because legacy products were sunset into the platform, long-time RollMaster or FloorForce users should confirm exactly which features their plan includes before renewing.

What we like
  • Websites, flooring visualizer, lead management and accounting software under one login
  • Built only for the flooring trade, so every feature speaks the industry's language
Watch out for
  • No published pricing
  • The brand consolidation means some legacy products were folded into the platform
#5

Comp-U-Floor

Best for: Flooring contractors and installers that live in the field
Visit comp-u-floor.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote, demo required)
Free planNo (free demo)
Comp-U-Floor homepage

Comp-U-Floor is the field-first pick. Its ERP covers estimating, scheduling, inventory, accounting, sales and CRM, but the details that stand out are flooring-specific: roll-cut tracking with automatic remnant tagging, QR code integration for the warehouse, and a mobile app where installers review work order details, flooring diagrams and photos on site. The "one-step" flow lets a salesperson create the estimate, present the quote and collect a check or card deposit at the customer's home, which is where flooring jobs are actually won.

The company claims 40-plus years in the trade, and the product reads like it was designed by people who have carried carpet samples. Accounting modules (AR, AP, cash and bank reconciliation, GL) are included rather than bolted on, and purchase orders tie into flooring B2B vendor connectivity. Pricing is demo-and-quote only, so smaller contractors should ask for the full per-user cost including the mobile seats before committing.

What we like
  • Inventory built for carpet rolls, dye lots, remnants and QR tracking
  • Installer mobile app for work orders, photos and documents
  • A salesperson can estimate, quote and take a deposit payment in one visit
Watch out for
  • No published pricing
  • A smaller vendor footprint than the big ERP names
#6

QuoteHero

Best for: Contractors who measure, estimate and close sales on site
Visit quoteheroapp.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote)
Free planNo
QuoteHero homepage

QuoteHero does one job: help a flooring contractor walk out of the customer's home with a signed estimate. The app records room measurements, computes material needs, generates a professional quote and emails it on the spot, cutting out the drive back to the office and the manual recalculation that loses deals to faster competitors. It is white-label, so the app carries your company logo, your line items and your prices, and it supports before-and-after photo sharing with the customer.

The company behind it, Insight Flooring Technologies of Dallas, built the app for estimators after years in the trade, and the interface reflects that: fewer measurements than the perimeter-based apps, which matches how installers actually measure rooms. This is a point solution. It will not run your inventory or your books, so pair it with an ERP or accounting system. For contractors whose close rate depends on speed at the kitchen table, it is worth a demo.

What we like
  • Built around the installer's natural workflow, so estimates follow the job instead of the office
  • White-label branding with your logo, line items and prices
Watch out for
  • A sales and estimating app, not a full business management system
  • No published pricing
#7

Floorzap

Best for: Small flooring businesses that want modern cloud tools without the ERP project
Visit floorzap.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote)
Free planNo
Floorzap homepage

Floorzap is the modern cloud option for smaller flooring operations. The pitch is the first-visit close: create the quote on site, get it approved, capture the signature, collect payment and schedule the installation in one flow. Behind that sit customer management, document storage, inventory tracking, quoting, invoicing, purchase orders and contractor scheduling, all in one web-based system with mobile apps. Customer reviews consistently single out the onboarding and support team by name, which is a good sign in a category where implementation usually hurts.

The company was acquired by Teamfront in late 2024 and continues to operate, but buyers should ask directly about the product roadmap and support structure under the new ownership. Pricing is not published, so get a quote with the user count. For a small dealer or installer that wants current cloud software without a six-month ERP rollout, Floorzap belongs on the shortlist.

What we like
  • Quote, approval, invoicing, payment collection and installation scheduling can all happen on the first visit
  • Cloud-based with document storage and contractor scheduling built in
Watch out for
  • No published pricing
  • Acquired by Teamfront in 2024, so long-term roadmap questions are fair to ask
#8

Roomvo

Best for: Retailers that want "see it in my room" visualization on their website
Visit roomvo.com
Starting priceSee website (custom quote, demo required)
Free planNo
Roomvo homepage

Roomvo is not operations software, and that is the point. It is the visualizer that lets a shopper upload a photo of their own room and see your flooring products in it within seconds, embedded on your website or running on an in-store kiosk. The company reports 6,000-plus retailers using it daily and a catalog of more than a billion product visualizations, with solutions for manufacturers, distributors, independent retailers, ecommerce and large chains. Retailers report the tool turning browsers into showroom visits and lifting close rates, with named customer stories about five-figure sales closed after a visualization.

Buy Roomvo for the top of the funnel: engagement, lead quality and the "what will it look like in my home" question that kills deals. It integrates with platforms like QFloors, and several ERP vendors bundle or recommend it. Do not buy it expecting inventory or accounting; pair it with one of the systems above. Pricing requires a demo and a quote.

What we like
  • The category leader in flooring visualization, used by 6,000+ retailers per the vendor
  • Huge product catalog with flooring, rugs, walls and paint
  • Works on the website and in-store kiosks with no app download
Watch out for
  • Visualization only, it does not run operations
  • Pricing is demo-gated

ERP, estimating app or visualizer: buy the right layer

Flooring software splits into three layers, and most buying mistakes come from comparing across them. The ERP layer (RFMS, QFloors, Broadlume's management software, Comp-U-Floor) runs the business: inventory, purchasing, job costing, accounting, scheduling. The estimating layer (MeasureSquare, QuoteHero) wins the bid: takeoffs, measurements, on-site quotes. The visualizer layer (Roomvo) wins the customer: room previews that turn website visitors into showroom appointments. Floorzap sits between the first two, covering the quote-to-install flow for smaller shops.

A single-location retailer usually needs one ERP plus one estimating tool, and the estimating tool often comes bundled: QFloors includes MeasureSquare in its enterprise tier, for example. A contractor with two crews and no showroom probably needs an estimating app and accounting, not an ERP. And a visualizer pays for itself only if your website already gets traffic; put the marketing budget before the visualizer if the site is dead. Map your business to the layers first, then compare the tools inside the layer.

How to choose flooring software

Start with the inventory question. If you stock carpet rolls, you need software that understands dye lots, remnants and roll cuts; Comp-U-Floor and RFMS were built for this, while generic ERPs treat a roll of carpet like a box of screws. If you only sell from samples and order per job, that requirement drops away and a lighter system works.

Then check the sales motion. Kitchen-table closers need mobile estimating with laser meter support and on-site payment collection (QuoteHero, MeasureSquare Mobile, Comp-U-Floor's one-step flow). Showroom retailers need the CRM, scheduling and proposal tools that the ERPs provide, plus a website that converts (Broadlume's home turf, or Roomvo on any site).

Then price the whole thing, not the headline. The ERP vendors quote per user per month plus implementation and training; QFloors includes unlimited training, others charge for it. MeasureSquare publishes per-user annual prices, so model your estimator headcount. Ask every vendor three things in writing: the per-user monthly cost at your actual user count, what implementation and training cost, and which integrations (accounting, payments, website) are included versus add-ons. Get the answers before the demo ends, because the second demo is where the price usually moves.

How we chose

We started with the categories flooring buyers search: flooring software, flooring ERP software, flooring estimating software and flooring business management software. For each candidate we opened the vendor's own site, checked pricing pages and product documentation, compared features against public reviews on Capterra, G2 and SourceForge and practitioner discussion in flooring trade press, and weighed company-size fit from single-crew contractors to multi-location retailers. Where a price could not be verified on the vendor's own page we wrote "See website" rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions

How much does flooring software cost?

Only MeasureSquare publishes prices: $540 per user per year for Desktop Retail, $1,970 for Commercial, and $540 to $870 per user per year for the mobile app. The ERP vendors (RFMS, QFloors, Broadlume, Comp-U-Floor) and the rest quote by demo, priced per user with implementation and training on top. Expect the ERP tier to cost multiples of an estimating app, and get the per-user monthly cost in writing at your actual user count.

Do I need a full ERP or just an estimating app?

If you hold inventory, run installers and need job costing tied to accounting, you need the ERP layer (RFMS, QFloors, Comp-U-Floor). If your bottleneck is winning bids, an estimating app like MeasureSquare or QuoteHero plus your existing accounting software may be enough. Single-showroom dealers usually land on one ERP; contractors with a few crews usually land on estimating plus accounting.

Does flooring software work with QuickBooks?

It depends on the vendor. The full ERPs (RFMS, QFloors, Comp-U-Floor) include their own accounting, so QuickBooks becomes redundant. Lighter tools position themselves to sit alongside accounting software: QPro Software, before it was folded into QFloors, was explicitly designed to run next to QuickBooks, and MeasureSquare and others list accounting integrations. Ask the vendor whether the integration is a live sync or a manual export before you assume.

Is a room visualizer worth the money?

For retailers with real website traffic, yes, the category has the strongest close-rate evidence in this list: Roomvo reports retailers using it daily and customer stories of faster, more confident purchases. It does not replace operations software. Buy it when the website already generates leads and the showroom team can follow up; otherwise fix the traffic first.

How long does flooring software take to implement?

Estimating apps can be running in days. ERP rollouts take weeks to months, with data conversion and training as the long pole. QFloors sells a four-day onsite conversion where their team comes to your store and moves the business over; RFMS and Broadlume run guided implementations. Ask for the implementation timeline and who does the data migration in the first sales call, not the third.
