Every Twitch subscription starts at a 50/50 revenue split between the streamer and Twitch, meaning a streamer keeps about half of each sub's list price before taxes and payment processing. Streamers can move to a better split only by qualifying for the Partner Plus program, which unlocks 60/40 or 70/30 tiers based on recurring paid sub activity.
Partner Plus awards points for paid, recurring subscriptions only: Tier 1 subs earn 1 point, Tier 2 subs earn 2 points, and Tier 3 subs earn 6 points, while gifted subs and Amazon Prime subs don't count toward the total. Maintaining 100 points for three consecutive months unlocks a 60/40 split, and 300 points for three consecutive months unlocks 70/30. Twitch removed the old $100,000 annual cap on the 70/30 rate in January 2024, opening the program to qualifying Affiliates as well as Partners.
Tier 1 costs $5.99 through web checkout in the US, up from the original $4.99 after Twitch's July 2024 price increase, while Tier 2 remains $9.99 and Tier 3 remains $24.99. Subscribing through the iOS or Android app costs more for Tier 1, $7.99, because Apple and Google take their own cut of in-app purchases. Prices can also vary by country under Twitch's local pricing.
