This calculator turns your own Ad Schedule report data into a clear dollar estimate: how much you would save by pausing the hours of the day that are eating budget without converting. Enter your daily spend, how many hours a day your ads run, how many of those hours you are considering pausing, and the share of daily spend those hours account for, and it works out the daily, weekly and monthly savings.
Dayparting, which Google Ads calls ad scheduling, lets you control which hours and days of the week your ads are eligible to show, and adjust bids up or down for specific windows rather than bidding the same way around the clock. Google Ads supports up to six separate ad schedules per day for a single campaign, and you can set them down to 15-minute blocks, which is granular enough to isolate a bad two-hour stretch without touching the hours around it.
The spend share for your low-performing hours comes from Google Ads itself, not a guess: open the campaign, add the Hour of day segment under Insights and reports, and look at spend and conversions broken down by hour across at least 30 days of data, ideally 90, since a single bad week is not enough to prove a time slot never converts. Once you know what percentage of your daily spend happens in the hours you are targeting, this calculator does the rest of the math, including comparing that spend share against the plain share of hours those windows represent, so you can see whether they cost more or less than an average hour.
Pausing a time slot removes spend from it entirely, while a bid adjustment as low as minus 90 percent scales spend down without going fully dark, which is a gentler option when a window converts occasionally but at a worse rate than the rest of the day. This tool estimates the spend saved by a full pause; if you are only reducing bids by a percentage, multiply the estimated savings figure by that percentage to get a closer number. Either way, weigh the savings shown here against the conversions those same hours were producing before committing, since a cheap hour that still converts is often worth keeping.
